I used to go easy on them because some people went easy on me when I started and it kept me in the game and I really started having fun at 80 million SP
Does anyone think this is still worthwhile?
Sure if in the future all the red team is militia I fill fight them with vanilla apex but mainly to stop the game being dull
dust514 is NOT a team sport like football, Most players would make their team lose if it got their squad more kills.

I try to fight with gear about the level of the opposition. I often start with starter fits and progress to BPOs (Rasetsu, Hawk, etc). If someone kills me in an ADV or PRO fit, I'll switch but otherwise, I actually find it invigorating and just plain fun to stay with Medic and Frontline (modded a little with militia shield BPOs). Yeah I know it's cheating a little but hey, the noobs can fit militia stuff as well if they like... |

I used to never run anything higher than Advanced but, with Dust ending, I'm breaking out Proto and Officer whenever I cam.

I liked being near the objective as opposed to hunting enemy proto's that were spawn camping away from the objective

The way I see it is that I payed with both blood and tears to get to where i am. I very rarely used proto anything because it was too expensive especially since a lot of battle where stack in the enemy's favor. I was always afraid to run out of isk and have seen my savings go up and down many a times. Plus even using advance gear I could not get pass a certain level of isk. Now that the game will definitely end I see no point in hoard my isk and equipment. I've been selling off what I will not used because I'm not skill into it and from here on is full proto except maybe for my min-scout which I do not see any advantage to going proto with. Yes, it is bad for the new people but, hey that is the way of life in isk. It is now my time to simply enjoy of what is left of the game and do what I've been wanting to do for a long while but, couldn't if I wanted to sustain it. |

MLT doesn't mean noob player. i think I once saw John Shepard using militia or some kind of basic weapon in FW, probably just for a challenge. going easy on new players would hinder their development IMO.

there are some excellent players that run militia to stop themselves getting bored, However I am talking about people running militia that offer no challenge at all to a bad player like me.
