Minmatar == The 3rd World / Afghani Mujahadin meets Revolutionary United States. Fought free from the Amarr. Still hold to an ancient Tribal system for governance. Would rather die in their duct-tape and rust built hulls than bend the knee back to Amarr servitude. Allied with the Gallente. Traditional enemy: Amarr.

There are other NPC Factions like the Jove, Sleepers, the Sisters of EVE, the Drifters, The Pirate factions ( Sansha's Nation, the Dread Guristas, etc. ) and many more. But that's the basics.

That's somewhat debatable and I would suggest it's more something one exclaims to proclaim their national pride than a particular comment about slavery. Also for reference and contrary to the popular opinion of Dust 514 players there are a great many political and religious opinions within the Empire which are typically represented by the five Hier Families rangings from Tash Murkon's Classical Liberalism which opposes the True Amarr-centric policies of the Empire to the Traditional Conservatives in the Ardishapur Family who adhere to tradition and dutifully take great care in ensure they fulfil their roles an responsibilities to slaves and citizens.
