Hell I've never even pushed the "New Topic" button. I'm not sure why, but as much as I wanted to, I just couldn't stop reading everyone's posts long enough to post something myself 
A lot of you won't know me, but as a lurker of these forums for the last few years I'd like to think I know a lot of you all. It's been a real pleasure reading everything you guys and gals had to say. You'd be amazed at how often I would spend what little free time I had just to check in with the forums, pouring over your endless posts til I had absolutely no time left. Trust me when I say you will all be sorely missed.
I just wanted to say I love this game, it's devs and it's players most of all. This community may be considered toxic, but I'll be damned if it was anything less than incredible! Listening to everyone here brought enjoyment only rivalled by my time spent ingame, speed hacking heavily defended objectives, headshotting rooftop campers, cruising around in my LAV or endlessly adjusting my fittings and sp allocations. I couldn't tell you how many times my wife or kids would find me nodded off in my chair, getting what little rest I could, with either DUST 514 or these forums on my TV screen. Even after I bought my ps4 a couple of years back and spent most of my gaming time with various other titles, you could still find the Dust forums on my recent browsing history.
Man I just loved being here... Damn will I miss it. Sitting here with a hot beer in hand because it was the closest booze I could find, pouring my heart out to a bunch of people that have no idea who I am, lamenting with manly tears in my eyes over the imminent loss of this game and its forum. God damn will I miss it.
Thank you to everyone who has ever been involved with this game. It's been an honor to experience this alongside you all, albeit from the shadows mostly  Know that all of you will always have a special place of remembrance in my heart along with my ancient DUST 514 client, which I have never updated in all of this time (Who needs better performance? ) and shall remain on my ps3 til it crumbles into Dust.
