Hahahahahahahaahahahhahhaa....... Wait? You actually think CCP would do that? Are you that deluded? Lemme guess. You think you'll have full isk and skill points as well.
I don't think CCP will make that error again.
It is I! Maybe deadcatz!

This is so so desperate.
Think of a new fps as a fresh chance to show **** you are.
dust is life...
... uncertain, and usually pretty dissapointing.

I would get ready for an SP and ISK / asset wipe.
It's the most logical choice. I just hope they refund AUR.

IT IS NOT A CONTINUATION OF THIS GAME!!!! READ THE RELEASE.
It will have some aspects of Dust, but will not be a port. That already said that. So, expect some vanity items if you spent money or a lot of time. Other than that just pray everyday they actually make a new game. It could be years in development. |

Why would they refund AUR????? That's how they got paid during this 4 year period. I don't see Bungee sending me money for my old copy of Halo. We bought the items we bought. We had 4 years to enjoy them. What more could you want, especially considering the vast majority spent $0 on the game. Very few of us even spent the $60 you would expect to pay for a title that lasts half as long.

Well the difference between those games and this one is that CCP pushed VERY hard the concept of continuity, that we would NEVER see a DUST 514-2 and that what we did here would carry over.
Now it's pretty clear that transferring ISK and assets and SP will just make balancing a new game a nightmare, but letting loyal customers keep some of what they spent under the assumption of permanence would be a good way towards appeasing a fairly wounded player base.

The only ones wounded are the kids and neck beard man children. Every one else understood it was a game. Most even read the EULA at some point to understand what they were paying for. Four years of fun and opportunity. Tell you what let me start at my SP total or equivalent in the new game and you don't. Tell me if you feel like its fair and even want to play. Tell me if you think 2000-4000 players is worth alienating 200,000. We had a great run, but all things end. I just hope that they are not blowing smoke up our asses about a new game. |

The difference is you just put in time for SP, where as others put in money for their AUR. Also, SP gives a strong advantage day 1, vs a mild advantage over time of having AUR.
I don't care either way, I've been prepared for a server shut down with no port for over a year now.
