On March 10, 2013 I made a video reviewing this new game called DUST 514...
I was enlightened to how much hate the community can produce. I received death threats because I was stating that the game was not a good one. I was told that CCP was not how I described. I was told I was wrong about the points I brought up:
Pay-to-win Unbalanced weapons Countless glitches and bugs Broken mechanics, such as; hit detection, lag, and spawning
The community told me that CCP cares too much about their playerbase to just make a game for strict profit, while slapping them in the face.
3 years later, I was wrong... CCP only became WORSE and the game only became WORSE... CCP got their money, and now will be tossing DUST 514 on the already mounting pile of failed titles they have.

True, because every dime the players have spent has gone to total waste
But, yes; this game has always been pay-to-win. I've explained this in so many variations it's not even funny.

It's pay-to-progress-faster, which leads to higher chances of winning. It's inderect, so I've never had a problem with it.
You pay to get better stuff sooner. This makes you better than if you didn't spend money, but does not make you superior in the overall meta compared to non-paying players at the given moment. There are still people with equivalent stuff without paying money. Paying players got it sooner than they normally would have, and this is on an individual basis.
Why is this still a discussion after all this time?

Welp, the officer spam is gonna be real.
Looks like I'll be left behind, however. No decent gaming PC. :(

Winning individual matches in this game does not matter. The whole point in New Eden is to acquire more ISK and assets than your peers. AURUM does that.
However, the progression in this game by use of cash is always pay-to-win. Because, the time difference is so great that is becomes untouchable. AURUM accelerates the processes by 120,000% overall for all in-game progession... that's not "sooner".

If winning = stockpiling assets, then yes, it's 100% pay-to-win. So we're both right I guess.
