I hate to beg, for any reason, but I am to that point. It's been a long time since any of you Devs, besides Frame, have posted. Just let us know that you are working on it, even if that is all you say. Most of my fellow mercs will not be ok with you just saying that but it would be enough for me. The CPM have said you are working on it and it's not that I don't trust them but I would be more calm about things if you, any of you, would say SOMETHING.
The silence, as you are aware, is killing your playerbase. There are those of us who still believe in you and what you can do. Ratatti, you have led a good team and done some good things for us. For the love of God, please say something.
I am eager to see Warlords 1.3, if you are still working on it. Please give us some confirmation that you are still alive. Hell, send me a mail in-game.

The silence is grueling buddy. But it will be worth it.
Here is my take. CCP signs contract with Sony for 10 years. It has not been ten years since Dust came out.
CCP has an obligation to Sony to keep their product on Sony till the contract expires. Since PS3 online services WILL end eventually. CCP to uphold their end of said contract have no choice but to port or be in breach of contract.

Really? Does the contract actually REQUIRE them to continue with this game on Sony, or just that if they continue the game it has to be on Sony? If it's an exclusivity agreement, there's no need for them to continue the game. What do we really know about this contract?
My personal take on this is increasingly that the silence means they are finished with Dust. They have to know their player base is leaving. To know that and continue to say nothing can only mean one thing - they WANT us to leave, so they can close the game down.
If CCP truly is looking to continue this game they have chosen possibly the worst way to interact with their player base to do it. Unless, that is, they are looking for a completely new player base when and if they do actually release 1.3 or port. As they have already said, 1.3 is going to p!ss a lot of people off. OK, assuming for the argument that there is actually going to be a 1.3, then I would not be surprised if it's such a radical change that most of the existing player base won't want to play it anyway... |
