Since there was no Caldari last time I would do a Rasetsu vx.1
Now remember that the vx.1's werent 100% racially correct
The atlas had a minmitar submachine gun
The dragon had minmitar re's and a second gallente damp and reactive plate
Replace:
The shield recharger with another extender
The rail rifle with the assault version
The bolt pistal with the magsec
The range amp with a ferro or reactive
1 of the regulators with a ferro or reactive
How should the next ones be fitted

Nah. Its properly fit already. Ferros and reactives are not meant for caldari. Anyone who uses extra armour on a cal suit is either way too close to enemies and is getting hit with flux grenades or is a fotm chaser out to pad their kd
I say yes to the magsec and maybe with the assult rail rifle.

Dual tanking isnt that bad is it?

Dual tank works only if you are using a min suit.
Speed and dual tanks together but not very well separate.
And the fact is that caldari suits also have rather pitiful stamina. And happen to be slow as well.
Armoured caldari crumple rather easy to shotgunners who are used to blasting through 1000ehp on sentinels. What's the point of having that extra reactive? The armour won't save you. And considering the gal ass breach ar combo that measly chunk of armour will mean nothing.
I'd fit 3 extenders,a precision mod,and a recharger.
And the lows would be a kincat,regulator and range extender.
Weapons would be assult railrifle and a magsec,stick on a flux and a nanohive.
The kincat provides a bonus to speed so you can change cover quickly,the ewar modules provide a boost to tactical information and a flux to take advantage of the armour based assult rail rifle. And a nanohive to keep a good stock of ammo. And the backup magsec.

Indeed, i would like to build the next vx.1, but not use those sorry ass names. If i make a fit, i would give it a fitting name; not those excuses for apexes.
