Actually, they aren't. It's only the fact that you can fit 2 hardeners on some fits that makes some tanks op. The ones with only 1 hardener (like me -_-) are quite easy to destroy. Swarm launchers really pack a punch against armor and BLASTERS can easily tear through shields AND armor as I have experienced (from both ends sadly -_-)
If tabks are limited to 1 hardener (which would be best for the community) I'd gladly have the old tabks back.
I used to see some but never had the chance to use them.

My vayu fit was a beast,
1 - 25% resistance mod
3 - light efficient armour reps
1 - 180 Poly plate
1 - F45 damage control
1 - active scanner
1 - 54% heat sink
2 - Small XT-1 missile launchers
1 - scattered ion cannon
was an absolute beast

Lds was good times.
If I remember right, I had over 6k armor that stayed permahardened at a minimum of 70%, max 90%.
I would bumble in like some mutant wood bee, hover over the hot spot, and spew forth a deluge of angry blue wasps. Laughing maniacally as rails, swarms, and forges tickled my underbelly.

I miss the Surya and Sagaris.
Now those were tanks. Full active tank, 8000 Raw HP, 14K EHP for short durations, turning power = 0, speed = meh, power of main guns = **** Yeah.
I wish I'd spent more time putting my SP into operating them.

OP when there were 2 tanks covering each other doing that and a "logi LAV" in help, that was funny not hardner 514, not sica with militia dam mode Op. We lost variety and fun, i still remember when only 2 players used NOS and railgun splash damage, 180 plates, active reps and mostly turrept variation

Yes, it required some serious dropship pilots, but spider tanking with dropships was awesome!

I used to have 4 repping madrugers repping my vayu while repping each other, we would sit under the table top being constantly repped, it was OP AF

Lokun used to do something like this with Ladwar's Sagaris or Bethany Velvetino's Surya.
