So I finally reskilled assault dropships. Haven't used them since like 3 months before the respec event.
Just a few questions.
For the loyal/constant ads users, what's AV to ads atm?
Where do small BLASTERS stand to the community? I've always been a excited about them and have always wanted to use them to the next level, but they have never fully accomplished their purpose.
Even tho they might now be too good, I already have my blaster incubus fit.
Incubus
Basic 20g Blaster
Basic scanner
Basic hardener
Basic 60 plate
Basic light rep.
Most fun Im gonna have on a while.
I remember when i first skilled them... Back in like... 1.6-7? They were starting to be very common and op.
So much fun.

Blasters tickle vehicles and are still awful vs infantry, at least as a front gun. In an Incubus the LAST thing you want is to stand still cuz Beacons can two shot you if they're close enough. Nevermind everything else.
If you want to kill infantry with an Incy then put a missile on it and two hardeners, pop both hardeners when you want to kill stuff, then hit AB and fly away as they go onto cooldown.
Blasters are a long running joke in this game.
Also you aren't allowed to be a pilot in this game until you fit everything proto. Till then you'll go up in flames if AV so much as farts in your general direction.

1. They are expensive.
2. I haven't used ads since they were op. I need to "relearn" how to use them.
3. I'm a tiered person. Basic with basic. Adv with adv, proto with proto. Still need to skill small turrets.
4. The matches I've been in so far, basic gear has been enough to survive
5. I run 80% basic, 10% adv, 9% proto, 1% officer.

Dude. The Thelos was before I went broke. That's when I ran pro nonstop.
Next, the pyrus was part of the 9% proto. I've taken out proto in a few more occasions.

STOP THE MADNESS! Put those blasters away asap! There are some good shield dropship killing fits for the blaster incubus, but you'd spend all day flying around chasing them. Effectively NOT helping the team?! Blasters need to be COMPLETELY revamped! Fire mechanics to re tarded! Overheat ridiculous! #HitdetectionLOL

After spending like half a match in the redline remembering how I fly them, I concluded that they have decent dispersion for an engagement range. Problem is its ammo, over heat, and movement. On an ads atleast.
For it to be effective, it would need a few 10 more meter range, , like 5-10 more damage per round per tier, and maybe 100 more rounds with less heat Build up.
That would probably be op as hell on a tank or lav though... But to a point, I'm almost ok with that. They are meant for anti infantry anyways and would make lavs a new thing again in dust. They could now pose a new and viable threat. And iMessage perfectly fine with that. And In perfectly fine that I'm perfectly fine with this.
