They exploit the minority of the sore loser gamer population by selling op gear. It's effective for CCP profit wise, but it ultimately kills Dust in the long run as most players are not willing to pay to cheat, sore losers. So either CCP will milk it for all it's worth until it dies, or get their **** together.
Unfortunately, I'm guessing they'll do the former. I think our best bet is to beg CCP to make it open source- or AT LEAST convince Sony to update a patch that allows us to use our own private servers to host games.
If CCP were smart, and I don't believe they are, they would have figured out long ago that the key to both longevity and game balance is charging for expanded maps, game play modes and skins, NOT op gear.
Is that all you brought? How disappointing. I was hoping for a challenge.

all the proto gear that you buy with real money you buy with isk. I don't think that is the issue. The issue is no good content recently released nor has it been ported to a new system.

Have you noticed how frequently the dailies have a six-pack of keys?
The only reason to give keys away that often is to incentivize daily logins.
The only reason to care about daily logins is to keep the numbers up for the bean counters.
If people won't log in for good game play (extinct, atm), give them candies and they will. |

I can confirm that Pokey's Isk Doubling service is the best ISK doubling service I have ever thought about using
Khanid Logi and Tanker, sometimes AV Heavy or Sniper.

If I played anymore, I could buy that exact same gear with isk. And that exact same gear would be far more deadly in my hands due to skills I have invested related to that suit, weapon, ect.

Wait... that's not a bright side... No one deserves to experience the madness that is this game's current state.
Edit: The vast majority of people running this "OP" gear you speak of purchase it with the in game Isk. Very few players actually buy Aurum gear and most of the current sales probably go to skins. Even the Apex suits are usually purchased with loyalty points over Aurum. You (OP) like many new players at the moment, are simply very, very late to the party and thus exceptionally far behind on the curve. If you actually wish to continue playing this game, do a little research and find what fits your playstyle before investing in it. It doesn't take that long to get a spec'd out suit and gear if you specialize.
