I saw a trailer on YouTube for EVE Online. It was a huge battle that looked absolutely amazing! During this cinematic, a small group "breached" a larger vessel. Which led me to an idea. I can't sleep so, here we go!
Breach / Infiltration
Players - 8 versus 8
Clones Attackers - 200 Defenders - 25 at each point (equaling 150)
Time limit - 30 minutes
Attackers must push the defenders back through 5 checkpoints, starting with the point of impact (breach), reaching their final goal, the bridge, which is the 6th point.
To get through each checkpoint, the attacking team must either blow a hole through the thick wall, requiring multiple charges and distractions or defeat (clone) the defenders. Each new area of the ship would be more fortified than the last, adding more turrets at each checkpoint for the defenders to use. Once hacked, these turrets can used by the attacking team. The defenders can re-hack.
The further into the ship (base, city, whatever) the attackers get, the more deadly the defenses get. Ranging from traps to turrets. Traps are controlled by a console.
Warbarge strikes are useless. Being in an indoor area, they wouldn't do any good.
Double ISK payouts. SP payout remains the same.
Just an idea I have but how about some input? Any other ideas? Think of something that I overlooked?

I'm pretty sure this won't be on the PS3, but on another console Dust gets ported to, or another version of Dust.

Great idea, me likey, +1. Thanks! In theory, it wouldn't be as stressful. It's half the players, no vehicles, no orbitals.

This game mode would be great for space stations but boarding ships would not likely happen since EVE players complained about it.

Does anyone have a good idea for this?
The more i think about it, I think that is would be cool if the defenders had to hold the attackers at bay long enough for their turrets to com online.

Kinda like Rush in BF? Heck yeah I'd be down for that. It also works with Dust's theme of attacking/defending a corporations/factions facility-
Secure your initial insertion zone For x time the attackers must defend a clone bay that's been dropped outside the perimeter. Get through the front gate Attackers must defend some gate breaching equipment for x time. Get into the main facility building Attackers must breach 1 of 2 points by getting a hack off that takes x time to go through Get into the secure section of the facility building Attackers must breach a point by getting a hack off that takes x time to go through Override the ownership of the facility's mainframe ...By hacking it!

Along a similar vein the premise of the match could revolve around a team breaching the midship of a vessel and then spreading out from that breach point to attack internal systems culminating in a final dash to the hangar/escape pods for disembarkation.
Alternately labelled Seek and Destroy/ Breachpoint
