So after a good month or so playing skyrim among other games(dead space achievement/trophy run) I finally play fallout 4 again.
I create a new character and leave the vault.
This time around I'm not bothering with guns.
This is a melee only run.
I've invested in the cap finding and ammo finding perks at the start of the game to have caps flowing.
The only weapons I'm allowed to use are melee,a backup pistol for turrets or enemies I can't reach or don't have any grenades to throw at. And a missle launcher/fat man for high HP enemies.
Currently almost level 30 in about 3 days.
Favorite weapon. The unique combat knife known as "Pickman's Blade".
Backup pistol. Used to be the original 10mm found in the start of game,found a legendary pistol,then acquired the unique pistol " the Deliverer"
Have managed to stab a deathclaw to death.
Almost all the resources I gather in the 'wealth have gone straight to upgrading settlements,seeing as I can only use melee I don't need to spend lots of resources creating weapons. I also don't buy ammo anymore.
Have been working on settlements among other things.
Found the "broadsider" unique weapon.
About to start up the brotherhood of steel questline.

As I staggered out into the blistering Commonwealth sun and looked out over the shattered remains of my former home, aged two hundred while I lay frozen in time, I grimly set to the task of tracking down the man who had killed my wife Satja (Nora) and stolen my son.
The small community of Sanctuary Hills held little in the way of salvage for me though it did bring me into contact with my former Mr.Gutsy Codsworth. He informed my that people resided in Concord some miles South and past the Red Rocket Station. After discovering the Root Cellar of a neighbour, and being surprised by the hoard of gold bars I found within, I set off trying to make the shelter of the Red Rocket Gas Station by nightfall.
I discovered quickly the wastelands held many dangers and after rescuing the remnants of a group calling themselves the Minutemen I set out for Diamond City hearing rumours of a dangerous Eastern Coastline and mysterious synthetic humanoids.
- Basically what I took to doing was following the main story line until Diamond City before springing into side quests to gather supplies.
- Early game I am always using the Submachine Gun before making my way to the Gunner Settlement in the Central North of the map to collect the Focused Laser Sniper Rifle.
- Using that I can basically buy the Old Faithful which doubles damage vs targets with full HP. I then couple that with PsychoJet and Ninja.
- My character is basically designed to be a 'Rail Road Operative' to champion the rights of all Synthetics the Institute creates which is why I travel with my personal physician and best friend Curie.
- Kitted out with a heavily modified Deliverer, Covert Pickman's Blade, and an Tactical Maximised Automatic Righteous Fury. (That's it) Curie Carries a Maximised Laser Sniper Rifle variant of Old Faithful and a Powerfist.
- Currently am located in the Mercer Safe House clearing it for the retrieval of various 'packages' who need better lives from the Commonwealth.
- Also have put into action Operation Red Glare to bring those military pricks in power armour down once and for all. (Without the Lyons the Eastern Brotherhood are douchebags)
