So I have put together some ideas for PC over the last couple of weeks and here is the finished product: The first step to fixing PC is to address the problems, the key issues I see are: -Fighting vs. Farming -Blue donuting (which is valid but discourages fighting) -Districts on other timers going uncontested -The repetition of PC
1) Remove (or increase) the DK cap but also remove the ability to gain DK through selling clones.
2) Add corporation skins to the district market as BPO's for 99k, a color scheme can be selected by the corporation for the skin and the corp emblem and name will appear on the skin. The buyer may select for which race and suit type (light, medium, heavy) they would like it for. Add keys for 2,000 DK aswell. (Expanding the DK market encourages people using their own but without actively preventing it as being mercs is a key element of the game)
3) Add Corporate missions that refresh themselves weekly which provide boosters more frequently and provide 200 CP upon completion along with higher tier rewards (more Pro instead of Adv and Std).
4) Increase the chance of salvaging a lost officer weapon from 50% to 75%
5) Add the ability to place a bounty on other corporations or specific districts. A corp may select a district or corporation and set a bounty for a specific amount, the corp will then put a certain amount of ISK into a Bounty subdivision of the wallet which the ISK will be automatically transferred upon completion. The corporation placing the bounty may blacklist certain corporations/alliances and Corps not meeting basic member counts will as well to prevent an alt corp from flipping its own districts to pofit off the enemy. A Bounty can be ended at any time but after being ended anyone who accepted the contract (Attacked said district corp or alliance) must be paid. These Bounties will appear in the special contracts section. They will only appear if their is sufficient funds to pay for it.
6) The creation of corporate Assets that can hold officer/experimental weapons. (Ties into something else later)
7) Add more map diversity. (This is pulled directly from Zatara's Map discussion thread with slight adjustsments to the SRL as it has already changed to Green walls) Cargo Hubs Retain 5 point 3 city, swap out bridge map out in rotation for Fracture Road. Production Facility Retain 5 point 3 city, swap out bridge for Border Gulch. Research Lab Change 2in 2out to line harvest with attackers given the OB shielded objectives.
8) Add a slight diplomacy factor. First add the option to officially declare war (You do not need to declare war to attack districts!) Wars end when:
A) either corporation is removed from PC
B) A corporation surrenders and the other corp accepts the surrender, the agreed upon ISK and/or Districts is automatically transferred to the winning corporation. The winning corporation is barred from attacking that corp for an agreed upon time (min 1 day max 7 days)
Non aggression pacts can be made between corporations which does not prevent attacks but increases the CP cost of attacks on those districts for a 3 day period since the first attack by 10%
Add an ability in the star map to color code districts by Allaince.
The idea behind this is to make it easier for smaller corporations to recognize the bigger foes by looking at how large their alliance is how good their war record is and who they are blued up with. It is also to provide some sort of end game to a conflict and to be able to show off your PC ability.
9) Make it possible for corporations in the same alliance to reinforce each others districts
10) Add a Corporation rating system based on some sort of PC Win/Loss record incorporating avg K/D, avg WP/D and war record but mostly focusing on Win/Loss from individual battles to wars. Beating better ranked corporations will help increase corp rank.
11) The most Important element to incite conflict and activity is to make some land more valuable than other land. The most valuable districts will produce 2 officer weapons daily (Transfered into Corp Assets), actions on these districts (selling, transferring or attacking with clones) will result in 20% less CP usage. These districts will also provide a passive 2 million ISK daily and sufferess clone depreciation when launching attacks they will also provide a passive 1k DK per day to be split among the corp.
The Medium value districts will be the districts that we have now
The least valuable districts will have a 20% decrease in the price of clones from current districts.
The least valuable districts will be located in Elfrard, Eoldolf and Tartaven
The Medium Value districts will be located in Almur, Besateoden and Fittakan
The Most valuable districts will be located on the planet Hedaleolfarber III in Almur
This is designed so that corporations that are small can play against other small corps and then fight their way into the medium region. Corps may then go into the most valuable planet and attempt to take it, this gives a sort of progression scheme. Only 12 disticts will be most Valuable ~5% so that their are more corporations desiring these high quality districts than their are districts. If a single corporation chooses to try and hold them all they will be forced to stack timers and become vulnerable.
