I mean they were only 500k at the time but yea, it took about an hour. I just trailed along in my Destroyer and salvaged, put the stuff up in trade hubs and was just under 500k the next day. Perhaps prices have changed since then but it was pretty easy. That was about 2 years ago now. Maybe I just got lucky with prices at the time but people in my corp were buying a few PLEX a day for themselves, granted they were actually balls deep into the game but still. Seems like you hit a point where it's impossible to NOT fund your game with PLEX.

Last time i actively looked at PLEX 9 months ago, they were goobering between 800 and 900 million.

Passive SP gain and useless alts no longer are a EVE thing because **** spending money IRL.

You are right through, thats how i started actual salvaging for profit, cleaning up L4 sites.

The character trading section was flooded beyond belief with some amazing PVP toons. Even more went into biomass or got unsubbed to no longer be trained. Eve does not have people farming passive SP like here because it costs real money (or a crap load of ISK) and SP can only be trained into skills meaning that if you don't set your skill queue nothing happens. o7 All #514InTheWind !@#$!#@!$$@@#$@$!$ Snap out of the Stockholm Syndrome guys.

Fair enough, I can't comment on the current state of the game both because I don't play and because I hardly played before. Guess things have changed a bit over there since then.
