Playing a first person game on VR would suck. It is disorienting as hell with Windlands and no one is shooting at you. It would take more words to explain properly but "Man-in-Machine games will work best."
Having a consistent point of movement is pretty important to limit nausea and confusion.
"FPS on Oculus Rift!" is like a picnic; it sounds so much better than it is once you realize that you would be a lot more comfortable eating a sandwich where ants would not be biting your legs.

"FPS on Oculus Rift!" is like a picnic; it sounds so much better than it is once you realize that you would be a lot more comfortable eating a sandwich where ants would not be biting your legs. FPS games used to be the same when they first came out. Wolfenstien used to make me motion sick.
I have a feeling they will find a way around it.
That being said, I learned enough from Dust and all those people that bought PS3s just for Dust to bother getting a VR unless there are multiple compelling reasons to justify the price.
No way I am putting myself in position to let them male me feel like a fool for dropping money on hardware. They have proven themselves untrustworthy.

I'd like to see how much it costs before wishing for Dust on VR.
That said, if PS-VR is affordable, I'll be playing Valkyrie with it day one.

If Sony can release PS VR at an affordable range, they're going to dominate for the first year or two until Oculus can release the new Rift at a lower cost.

For a FPS VR game, it would be hard to aim with the controller because your eyes are not all the time parallel with your weapon.
And if it's this case, aim with my head would be, huuum, I'm sure I will not like that. lol
But yeah, fall from the MCC will be very impressive with the VR.

Your helmet in Dust is already VR, so CCP through **** luck already has reference.

NO
VR requires a MINIMUM of 75fps to prevent nausea, and each frame needs to be rendered twice (once for each eye). Performance reasons alone will keep it off the PS4, even if it kept the same graphic fidelity as you find on the PS3.

Your helmet in Dust is already VR, so CCP through **** luck already has reference. It is about having a reference for movement .
If I am in a car and I turn my head to the left, it still makes sense that I'm going in a direction that I am not looking because I have a frame of reference of movement . For first person shooters, the reference frame of movement is where you are looking. Turning your head what essentially become the same as rotating your body. You are running straight turn your head and suddenly you are still running straight even though your head is now turned crooked.
Windlands causes you to get all turned around; you are no longer moving in a single direction. It becomes confusing as hell.
