June 2012 - the Beginning of Closed Beta.
January 2013 - the Beginning of Open Beta.
Both significant dates of their own pardon, but only one date matters the most. Closed Beta. Often regarded as the golden days of DUST 514, not because it was better (far more glitchy) but because it had promise....and because it was better. And the most promise of all, was Chromosome.

Never drove one myself but seeing them on the field. Gunning in one from the top turret. Trying to take one down and finally beating one.

Open beta was Chromosome too. Then we got the "full" release, Uprising and long story short here we are looking for the next golden days. Which I guess depending on you're perspective there's been a few already; that's if you want to count fotm type stuff.

You could say it was at its peak in more ways than one.
Most of what I see around here is just a bag of dicks in need of some kicks.
Dust really needs its high sec.

Apart from the missile turret ridiculousness, Codex was pretty amazing too. And it was the last build that had the original old Manus Peak

Hell of a lot more variety in vehicle gameplay at least, as opposed to half the vehicles with 2 fits per vehicle that we've got now
