Remove the fairly weak God Rays and the grass. Those two things should free up a bit of memory and will likely not be missed. Watching grass render 10 feet away isn't very immersive anyways, and only looks worse the higher up you go.

There are 2 factors in terms of performance to deal with.
1. Ram - Obviously, this is the one everyone jumps too.
2. GPU - This is the part that is being over looked. Over taxing the GPU / Cell structure of the PS3 is what leads to significant frame rate drops. For example things seemed to run smoother back before they set render ranges based on your weapon. I feel like this is due to things constantly moving in and out of render range causing them to be rendered multiple times.
I'm not exactly an expert in this area. I am simply making an observation.
