Either way good stuff, I hope you were able to get your skill tree cleaned up. I did not even bother using my free respec from the event because spending 80 million SP all over again sounded like a real pain in the arse.

That is an incorrect conclusion. Rather, this development tells CCP that if Dust 514 is profitable on an obsolete gaming platform with a falling population then surely it would be even more profitable on a current and more populous platform such as the PS4.
Why stick to a decreasing profit strategy when you can increase your profits for years?

my bet is we get a respec on bonus day and then an announcement later clarifying the changes Rattati thought would "**** people off."
chances are you have already spent that respec but if not i would hold on to see what 1.3 brings.
that may not be until march though.
this is why lack of dev communication is frustrating..

I stupidly decided to not go for the free respec (f*ck me  ), but if I had it now I know what I'd skill into, and that's Caldari Assault.
Because I want that regen. Don't think you can take down my standard C-I Assault with a heavy because you CAN'T.

Why abandon a profitable platform for a multi million dollar gamble on a new platform. Specially when that new platform has literally 10x the competition as the current situation.
I consult with companies all day long and I can tell you 100% that profit trumps all.
In a free market system your vote is your dollar and where your dollar goes is the only thing that matters.

The difference is no company ever has said "okay we are going to give up this profitable scenario and invest millions of dollars to gamble on the fact that customers say they will follow us."
"Actions speak louder than words," is quite an old saying and still applies here today.
Do you really think CCPs accounting department is coming here and looking at any of us saying port to help their decision?
CCP knows that a larger potential player base has more potential profits. CCP also knows that even with not the greatest of efforts they can turn a profit on console players.
You have to understand that corporate architecture breeds a certain static mentality and until something breaks that it will be the ruler. Accounting departments are pretty much wired to preservation of that "stasist" mentality while the CEO and anyone looking for expansion is tasked with proving that futures can create a more profitable scenario.
