I have to aprove though, that battles are often lost because not enough of the kdr scrubs give a flying crap about the battle itself, and bring hives instead of links.

Maybe there should be a new assault Linkhive. It would give Ammo, and spawns at the same time. It would use nanites for spawns and ammo, so spawns deplete it like using it as hive would do.

This would give us at least some more links in the field.

The only downside is that nanohives tend to be placed in dangerous places, and uplinks tend to be placed in safe places, so for this strange combo tool you'd have to either find some sort of middle ground or risk wasting a lot of equipment and bandwidth. I fear it's one of those 'neat on paper, bad in practice' ideas. The thought that Dust 514 may one day be the game we dreamed it to be. It fills you with Determination!
