Usually when I played before, people skipping around and teleporting thirty feet away wasn't too common, I might see it once or twice a week, not including the game itself lagging, but I've only been playing for about two or three days now and I've seen it three times. Just went to knife a guy, got a lag spike and he teleported away, only to shoot me in the face. Same thing happened earlier, went to kill someone, lag spike, try to activate cloak to escape and can't even do that much. Gotten killed twice tonight alone and I've been noticing a lot more people skipping around like the hamsters are having seizures...
Is this, well... is this normal now?

Umm... I've been noticing weird lag just in the past couple of days. It's not all the time though.
Make sure you don't have your server set to 'automatic'.

Same. And unfortunately I didn't record, but I might have experienced the most wicked rubber banding today. It was the table top map. I spawned on the pipes and jumped down to the objective. All of the sudden I'm up on the pipes again. I jump down and I rubber band over to the ladder in the other side. Then back to the objective, only to ten go right towards the enemy MCC direction, under the large box building, only to then apear near the objective again I started running again and then it wasn't even a game anymore, it was just a slideshow of pictures from places I may or may not have been.

Its been happening more, and more since November. Its at an all-time worst.
-Rubber bands
-Failed match building
-Permanent Victory screen
-Matches NEVER happening server side (also known as CCP'd)
-players not in server side sync
-Matches that cancel mid battle
-server disconnects (Payers I've spoken to are averaging 4/hr)
Destroyer or worlds. Breaker of Gods.

I think the server is being updated, I would think more skipping is to be expected.

I try to finish all matches but yesterday I had some lag that was just unbearable I'd be rubberbanding back to where I ran from then be dead..Ima back out of those matches for now on |

Managing GunJack in Shanghai and making use of all that money they got for Valkyrie in England probably did not affect the skeleton crew which was already the Dust team. The beauty of a skeleton crew is that there is nothing left to pick apart for other projects. The only thing left beyond the state that Dust was left in support wise beyond FF14 is a full shut down.
I think the real nails in the coffin for me were the release of GunJack and the disappearance of Rattati. Before GunJack a bit of optimistic thought kept me going on the possibility that they were still working on the a new FPS while Rattati used our feedback to affect it.
I pretty much considered that blind optimism but to hold on to those thoughts now would fall somewhere between ignorant optimism and absolute insanity. I play a couple times a week absolute tops to check in with my friends that just won't leave and come around here in hopes of seeing something that will renew my enthusiasm.
