Rattati has done a great job with what he was given. Ultimately upper level CCP seems to have no interest in supporting this game what so ever.
Keeping this game alive through no support, a skeleton crew dev team, and nothing but a crap shoot for a community has been quite an accomplishment. Hopefully Rattati has capitalized on that small win to move to something bigger and better because I do like him and would like to see what he can do with a real company that supports their products.

The mittani has an article by Matterall saying that the Dust 514 devs were recently called back to head office to talk about the future of Dust. Nothing was announced about the outcome of those meetings.
That plus holidays and i wouldn't expect to hear anything from the devs for a while.

Most westeners have vacation during this time of year. I know I do. I use my vacation days combined with the companies vacation days to extend my vacattion. I was not able to do it this year but if I could had then I could easily extend my vacation by only using 6 vacation days yet get 14 (including weekends). I think this is what is going on. Dust has a skeleton crew as it is. Add the vacation time now you have a skeleton of a skeleton crew. you know like a rib and a half. If they kept quiet after new years then I would start to worry. |

Confirmed: Dust 514 has been cancelled and the next time we'll hear from the devs, it will be to tell us that the game is over and they will be scrubbing every trace of Dust 514 from the EVE universe.

They are bound to show up eventually and say "look what we have been working on"
Which will be really great for those who stopped supporting the game, might bring a few back even..
But for myself and hundreds of others you do not see on the forums, we still play and support Dust514...
And the cut off in the last year has not showed much passion from CCP themselves towards their game.
TL;DR, they'll fix it when it suits them, who cares about game performance anyway ?

You don't Vahzz; I got it running relatively well on my side computer I use for other things ( house network for example), and all that has is some 6 core AMD CPU ( think it's called the fx 6300, can't remember), and a MSI 7770, and can get like 43 FPS. They need to do optimizing and improve their servers, and they'll be good.

you seen whats needed to run the Oculus rift, about what you need for both mid grade PC to run in med res, I have a 12yr old pc myself and if you build yours right and keep changing out the vid card every few yrs, you can too, I, myself can run two eve clients just fine on my 12yr old PC, and I can run fallout 4 on med grade graphic's but i did just get a blue screen of death for the first time in forever this weekend so maybe time to upgrade anyways!

It was a joke, but now that you ask, it seems more plausible than overwriting the beta build codes to birth uprising. No EP is that dumb.
