It's 12:17 AM GMT-6, which means its December the 25th for at least half the world by now.
Post X-Mas wishes and shit.
It's been another year, and this one marks the least I've played Dust since I started almost 3 years ago. The game has, and probably will always suck with its horrible hit detection, lag, and various errors.
Despite all that, Dust was the most fun I've ever had in a shooter for ages. I'm only just now finding a game that makes me want to log in every day and play (Rainbow Six is a blast btw).
EVL_Elgost105 used to be the name that I dragged everywhere to games I played. Elgost105 was a screename I had when I first played runescape in middle school for christs sake. Ever since Dust, that's changed. Kaisar is the screename I use in almost every new game I sign up for. Cryo_Kaisar for Rainbow. G. Kaisar for Arma.
As bad as this game was, it was the community that made me stay. I loved all of it, the toxicity and everything.
I remember watching Takihiro and Spkr going at it with the AV crowd. I remember AE and EON and various personalities in the War Room talking back and forth. I remember the rouge wedding, Quickgloves Son and King Kobrah's thread, and so much more.
The game was entertaining at best, but the community made me stay.
So as the new year gets close to rolling by, I raise my glass in memory of the past 2 and a half years I've spent here and I fervently wish that this game gets a future.
I want to be there for Dust 2.0 where we actually get what the community deserved. A game where we wouldn't slowly bleed away due to burnout and such. Where we could actually fight over districts and have it FEEL like we were fighting over something that mattered. Where we could smack talk and bicker and fight all over again, with the old AND new faces.
To all who are gone, and all who are left; I wish you a Merry Christmas. May this game continue to bond us together, either in its hopeful future, or its beloved memory.

Here Here! Didnt think I would learn anything by playing a video 14 hours a day. All of you people proved that wrong. It was a blast, and I await the day I can try to Nova Knife all of you again, nd fail terribly.
