its to hard to kill enemies i seem to be shooting them for hours then they seem to shoot me with no effort grhhh This game will fail if you dont sort it people want the call of duty type kill system on these large scale maps mabye you guys should hire guys like me that has been gaming for years its just a bit of advice that why mag failed cos they didnt listen to there customers play cod and battlefield 3 put them together and get game testers that love then and have been playing for years that are actually using the games you may find then dust514 will be game of the year but as it stands its failing my expectations i will be posting my findings on my website 121gamers.com at the end of the beta as i understand it is just the beta so please dont be like the rest of the devs listen to us thanks

It is a bug of the current build where hit detection is off. Even the marker animation is off. I suspect the reason they can get you so easy is alot of us who have been here a little while have learnt to compensate. It should be sorted on next beta build 29th of June.
And all credit due to ccp. They appear to be listening to us. First time iv heard devs call it a game for gamers made by gamers and all evidence agrees atm. |

You maybe right about mag but as for seting this game up like CoD or BF3 in any way would defeat the purpose.They didnt come up with shields or heavy armor so you can take one shot to the shoulder and die.Now true there are glitchs that cause the killing of enemys harder to do but also keep in mind they may have worked to get the gear that way makem harder to kill. If i wanted to play a game that acts and kills like CoD or BF3 then ill go play CoD or BF3. |

Just a quick note: MAG didn't fail. It had a hard consistant run for about 2 years. You call that failing? MAG broke the mold on online gaming server capabilities. And DUST is going to break the mold in online FPS gaming capabilities!!!!!! I loved MAG and I am and will be loving DUST for years to come!
Just look around the forums, the dev's are well aware of all the situations that they have right now. You do realize that they play the beta as well. right??? So, therefor, most of the complaints and request that we all have they probably beat us all to the punch on them.
Anyways, I just wanted to clarify that MAG didn't fail, and DUST isn't going to either. Keep up the good work CCP. I personally appreciate all of your hard work and commitment.
P.S. I never was a PC gamer until I heard about DUST........EVE has got me hooked!!! |

I'm going to give you the basic 2 point thing here:
- Beta. Seriously, I shouldn't have to explain that.
- This game is not Call of Duty. Believe it or not, some of us despise that little disc of compressed and polished fecal matter. We don't want this game to be anything like that one, and there are many of us, and we form an untapped customer base. CCP is wise to do their usual thing and try something different instead of making another cookie cutter copy like everyone else seems to be.
If your reading comprehension is similar to your writing ability, I suggest http://dictionary.reference.com/ for any of the hard words. |

How long have you been playing the game man?
Don't expect to be killing people from day 1 like a god. It just won't happen.. Eve/dust is the place where there will always be someone bigger/stronger/better then you.

Sintel is quite right, this is not CoD, if you want that type of game, go and play it, it really is that simple, if you can't understand the concept behind this game, you have no place here. I'll admit it, i play CoD MW3, its a good, polished, cookie cutter game for fun and running around blowing stuff up and spraying and praying. Now, if you want more depth, more involvement and direction, customization, and the ability to sway the outcome of a conflict by the way you and everyone else has fitted and trained (and blow stuff up) then this is the place to come, i would certainly choose DUST every time. CCP has the ability to produce something really brilliant, look at EvE, i played for 5 years, it's superb, and they will do exactly the same with DUST. And if you are finding it hard to kill the enemy, are you sure it's the Beta, or just your ineptitude to land a kill. |

Technically it's not a 'game', it's a 'Beta', and if you're looking for fails, then you will come across alot, thats why you are here testing, to assist in finding, reporting glitches, bugs etc, not playing, or did you just sign up to play |

Have you ever played a BETA.. ????? a real beta not the game demo beta 2 days prior to release??
it's SUPPOSED TO BE FULL OF BUGS.. that's why it's called BETA and not early access or DEMO.

Yeah the point your finding problems thats good thats why we are here, honestly i like the high health thing its a refreshing part of the game it makes you need to actualy keep a steady amount of abuse on the enemy this is probably being kicked in the head by two things at the moment tho
1: the straffing speed(side to side movment) + jump being so high it seems to be ruffly 5 feet high
1.5: it ties in with above accuracy is far to high when hip firing while strafing and firing to do this you would need to be within spitting distance
2: and of course everyones favorite issue hit detection this lead to the only real way to kill someone being at the previously mentioned range
these 2 issues are making all engagments drag out like all hel which can get repeditive, some people say that this will be fixed when 2 is fixed but i still see 1 being a issue in future after hitdetection |

albeit some of the most fun fights I had where ones where we were just dropping clip after clip into each other and running around without either side actually being able to take out the enemy. A good mix of enough damage so it's not a few shots and you're toast coupled with hits registering.. and this game will be a lot of fun. |

and we did. for the last few months. there are litrally hundreds of threads about it and ccp have already said it is sorte in the next build on the 29th. they told us this weeks ago. |

well there goes your beta acct for NDA violation as soon as you post details on the UNFINISHED product........
You might also want to try reading dev blogs and patch notes before you try to make a big deal out of something that is already supposedly fixed in the build that is already in Sony's hands just waiting for release authorization.
You might also want to quit being a ******* ****** and realize this isn't a finished game and that issue (with the tons of threads about it, and a supposed fix already in the pipes) are exactly the kind of things a BETA TESTER is supposed to bringing to the developer's attention - and not with a "Whaaa I need my diaper changed!!!!! This sucks!!! **** you guys and your ****** game, I'm going home!!" attitude. - let me show you a better way.......
DEV's - I see the patch notes say you are fixing a hit detection issue. Is that issue the reason it takes so many shots to kill anyone?
I would also like to report that the game has a not so slight clipping issue on one of the sand dunes behind the town area in the communications map - I was running along and fell through the ground into the skybox. Will attempt to duplicate to see if I can get you more detailed information, thanks.
See the difference? Where as you prove you are too lazy to bother reading the information the devs give us, the example above indicates the poster cares enough to bother reading the patch notes and using the forum search to see if his issue has already been reported, and then asks for clarification to find out if the issue is resolved in the upcoming release. As you can see, instead of crying like a little brat, the second half of the example reports an issue (vague details because most people won't remember their exact location after falling through the ground) along with showing the devs that you care more about fixing the issue than pointing fingers and throwing a temper tantrum. One thing that dissapoints me so far, is that I can't seem to find any bugs that haven't already been reported - so I'll give balance feedback and ideas for neat things to add instead, while I wait impatiently for the next build.
Fortunately for us after dealing with the Eve playerbase for so long, the Devs at CCP have the thick skin of a rhino, coupled with the patience of Jobe.

One word beta
Do you not understand what a beta is?
It's a testing part in the game building process that we play and find problems then point them out to the devs to fix not say the game is broken and threaten to report its broken unless its made to play like other fps that don't have the depth |
