I noticed that when I went to place squad commands on objectives the only command I hve is rally, while clone reserve units have attack and defend as an option. Not sure why this is as the objectives are going to be fought over quite heavily especially once inside the compounds. The lack of an ability to select attack or defend as an option for objectives really discourage the use of them as well as hinder squad unity.
Having played other games with squad orders in them I know that when used correctly they can really help to focus the effort of the squad as even better than voice comms as not everyone speaks the same language and you will get people doing it just for the extra points.
On a related note maybe also make it more obvious to people who the squad leader is, especially the person who is designated squad leader as this will help improve the use of squad orders as well. At the moment if you don't look in the social/comms screen in the war room there is no way of knowing. |

Also have your squad mates Armor/shields and nameplate (and a small number that represents their distance away from you) somewhere in your HUD( like in most if not all multilayer games that has squad based mechanics ) and how about a star thats above his/her head ( or just on the map) and a star next to his/her name plate on your HUD. |

The squad command needs some work.
IN general, CCP you need to provide more tools to assist the squad commanders with their job.

Part of the problem:
You cannot give a command other than rally on any objective whatsoever unless someone has line-of-sight. You can't even mark a CRU for capture unless someone on your team somewhere is looking at it.
1) Once a structure is spotted, it should stay spotted. Period. It's not going to suddenly relocate or something when you look away.
2) Major objectives aka known points on the map, like the missile relays, should always be spotted, and thus teams can always mark a target for attack, defense, etcetera. |
