...I just bought a tv... With game mode 
So hopefully, I can use HD and get that nice accurate aim I had with my old box tv using composite cables. It's been quite a pain playing the last couple months with current tv. It's input lag was terrible. Bad aim cost me many deaths and less kills. But the pain is over and I can now enjoy both worlds, HD and no input lag.
But just a few questions.
So, for those that use game mode, is there truly no input lag? Is is there just so little it's not noticeable?
Also, what other good games are there? I have only played dust 514 since I began playing it, only occasionally playing Ratchet and Clank Full Frontal Assault a few times.
Destiney? Black ops? Good? Bad?

My TV (Samsung with 1080i only) looked worse and seemed to have slight input delay before I switched it to game mode. My colors and lighting effects drastically changed, making the game look alot more "glowy". It did darken overall also, ecen though my TV brightness was on default (all other settings also when i enteres game mode).
My housemate has a Panasonic 1080p and it looks like hes playing a difderent gamd almost. Its fcking amazing! I was blown away when i saw it for the first time. I immediately started tweaking my TV thinking theres no way 1080p can look THAT much better than 1080i... So after tweaks and game mode it looks better, but still not on par with his. Now i want to buy a new TV lol.
Ever heard of Helldivers? Its not an FPS but top down Diablo style futuristic action twin stick shooter. Friendly fire is always on and you can make a totally custom space merc from weapons and abilities to custom looks and vehicles.
Otherwise i dont like to spend money on PS3 titles really. I have Destiny but stopped playing when the meta was so boring every game was the same. And i had capped out PvE content before Taken King came out, i just lost interest after totaling up the price of all their damn expansions, after I already paid $60 for the game.

Personally I didn't experience any input lag with my old Sony Bravia or my current.
I did make a list PS3 games in the locker room... Let me hook you up with a link right quick

dust is only 720p so dont stress about 1080i/p.
i'm pretty fussy when it comes to sound n video and anyone that says they can pick the difference with the naked eye is most likely full of crap.
ive never needed to investigate game mode as i have never experienced input lag. (from the tv at least) if its a decent tv there shoulnt be any to begin with.
also a mate talked me and a freind into buying helldivers. cant recommend it.

Ill take photos of my TV vs his... If his 1080p isnt making it better because Dust is throttled at 720p, what then could contribute to it?
Helldivers is fun if youre playing with friends. But its definitely a session game, few rounds is enough.

Fyi: Connect your hdmi and hold down the ps3 power button for 5 seconds to get some auto screen sizing thing. U have to wait for a few beeps. I did this when I switched a few years back.

It can be updated to PS3/PS4 now. Though most posts would probably have Fallout & only Fallout.

Eh, the thread is locked so I would need to make a new one... Finals end this week so I could probably open up a new one over break. I don't own a PS4 right now but I am well versed with everything Playstation so it will just be more of a general list with the added lists of those who reply.

I just got a new Samsung and it has an auto dimmer feature that is more destructive to gameplay than playing one handed. The gaming feature is the only way to shut it off, so that's where game mode works in my case.
I can't speak for input lag because I haven't played without game mode on since my first match on it.
