I've been doing some reading here and there about the fails of dust and blah blah blah cry cry yeah yeah OK I get it I still like the game, get over it. So it came to my mind would anyone buy Dust 514 on PS4 if CCP handed over the production of Dust 514 to say another game developer like BETHESDA SOFTWORKS or to ID Software or say Bungie or take your pick thoughts?

Hell look at FF14 (Final Fantasy) that started as a complete flop but they didn't give up they stuck it out and now it's still one of the best games out there..things don't always go smooth the first time around

I'm expecting a love song soon. Or better yet, a video of Dust gameplay with Celldweller's "Goodbye (Klayton remix)". That would be awesome.

well I'm with you on this, I would rather have CCP do it to, but if they are unwilling to devote any resources out side of 3 dev's I would rather see someone else take up the torch if they can stay true to the game its self.

I've been with EVE on my main for about 6 months after they released EVE online in the US so i remember the old radar / 3d system that I wish they hadn't taken out, and as far as EVE goes I've been with them for 10 yr + give or take a yr off and what not, I have higher hopes for Dust and would love to see it go to PS4. But if CCP isn't willing to make the effort i would rather someone else take up the torch.

If another company bought dust but kept CCP in control so they could continue their vision I would. The big company can fund it and put their debs in for extra help, dust would actually be completed.

So long as it is connected to EVE yes, but that isn't ever going to happen since another developer would poorly depict Dust 514's narrative to the point where it stops being the interesting game I enjoy.
If they don't ever go ahead with Legion or produce something from the shell of Dust I'd simply look into games like Angels Fall First or go back to my favourite RPG's until For Honour, Dark Souls III, etc are released.

I was more talking about having it leased out to have it developed by someone else, not sell it to someone else indefinitely! I don't care who makes it as long as it has CCP's name on it and it likes back to Eew Eden.

CCP just needs to learn what management means and get to work. As a company I have come to seriously dislike them but there is no getting away from the uniqueness they have when they get it right.

Or they could hire developers who actually know how to program for the system they are trying to make DUST 514, throw in someone who is experienced in the FPS side that could help... CCP just needs to get guys who van execute what they're trying to do and it would be golden, add a bit of marketing that ties in with EVE and boom. Surround them, take the oil, get out and ya done.

Maybe if the parts of CCP that were set on other projects were brought back and the big dudes who run CCP would stop focusing every speck of attention on eve(no stabs taken here) and make dust a number one priority after they finish with whatever it is they're releasing. Because as of right now. Dust 514 is a huge fu-¬king stain on ccp's record,but it can still be cleaned,they have the funds,they have the people,get it DONE,and maybe they'll have a better reputation and probably more folks wanting to play their games.
But that's a logical argument. I haven't said a logical thing in my life.

It's called a lease from CCP so if they other company follows the guidelines laid out by CCP it don't matter what they know or what they understand, you ever hear of contract law? In collage you learn about such things, it also helps to fully understand how a business of this kind works, and stop being so entrusting, works in games but in RL no so much!

Let's be honest. Where is the New Eden part in Dust ?? A map that doesn't mean anything, 4 races with different gameplay types and gear according to these types, and ???
No story line, nothing else than using some names from EVE.
Any other company could remake Dust and do so much better than CCP did.

Those companies would probably do better on the mechanics, but I expect the spirit of the game would be lost. They would probably make it more FPS when I would rather it shift farther toward the MMO. They would probably dumb it down so it could be dominated even more by 12 year old's with lightning quick reflexes and short attention spans, getting rid of tactical elements like custom fits and any other aspects of the game that require deeper thought.
DUST 514 is not exactly the Thanking Man's Shooter... but it is as close we got right now.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

Hell no it would take those companies just as long as it took CCP to get where they are now so it would honestly be a massive setback for the game.
CCP is and always will be the best for this game, you have to realize Dust 514 was made by CCP knowing that it would be very buggy with lots of work required. Now passing that to a new company means they would have to go through that all over again but from the start not knowing 1% of what CCP knows today.
But thats just my mind speaking and it tends to say some messed up stuff.

I already spent some money on game (and not small amount), but if CCP manage to make this game finalized (full with all racials, with NOLAG and with NOFRAMEDROPS) I will gladly go for fullprized cost (50-60Gé¼/$).
But honestly, im not sure if they can manage it right now (i mean after thats time, with this two game killers - LAG+FRAMEDRPS).
I like this game, i just dont like "implemented" b*sh4t3s here.

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but i really never get lag i get my GPU failing more then anything that makes it look like lag cuss it cant keep up once my ps3 heats up, that being said and I have requested way lower graphics in the past as a result and have been boo'ed down over and over, still not sure why an option to render less is so bad, ah well kids like their shiny.
