The AHMG just does more dps and at a better range with more accuracty. The reason for this is because there are less CQC situations for heavies than there are medium range situations, so the AHMG is better in that aspect, not just that but it also does damage to vehicles (which is another nice bonus). I am in no way asking for a buff to the vanilla HMG as it might just be that I suck with it, but I want to hear other people's opinions. Everytime I see an AHMG on the field, my btthole contracts and a rectangular brick of poop comes out of it. The AHMG doesn't even care that you're on reps, it shoots through it ! It shoots tanks,dropships, LAVs, you name it ! I don't see a single situation where the regular HMG is better, although the regular HMG should be the one for infantry use. Why ? Because CCP. If you play pubs, you will most likely encounter the mainstream heavy as described below. Mainstream Heavy Starterpack Basic/Milita Heavy + Freedom Assault HMG Notorious DUST 514 Comedian.*

When I see ahmg, I think twice how I'll attack. When I see a normal hmg? HA. Peice of cake. Wiggle wiggle here and there, they are dead and I still have like 30% shields left.
