I think it could be a great thing that eve devs put so much time into Valkyrie. It will be launched to masses and new Eden will get an influx of new players, regardless.
When dust was announced eve players purchased ps3s in anticipation. Who is to say that an inverse effect won't happen as well.
New fans of the new Eden brand will bring a much larger player base to new Eden, as well as an influx of cash and time - now that the majority of the coding and development for Valkyrie is done.
I see this as a great step forward for everyone even if dust gets ported/legioned.
I have a feeling we will be hearing from CCP soon and maybe even more often now that devs are better now being freed up.
Also consider if CCP has the fortitude to stick with these projects for ten plus years. Their ability to tie these separate games into one would only increase as time went on, and the thought of a single merc being able to participate in all of the eve titles seamlessly and simultaneously is an amazing one.
The potential battles, skirmishes, wars would be epic and story worth. |

Yet blind positivity has killed many. Swings both way. It's good that Valk has a bit more of a gamey feel so it's more accessable, getting first in line could give CCP a bit of an edge.
Hopefully it's not DUST all over again

I'm with CCP form 2004. With different mixed feeling.. but still.
Yes, I bought PS3 for Dust
Yes, I bulid my last 3 PC 'rig' specialy for Eve-online.
Yes, I have DK2 Oculus Rift (but elier then CCP was promoted as 'prime-horse' for OR).
I take all this as long journey with funy and curious people.
I like them and I hate them in many ways.
But that is ok :) And I wish them always good luck.
Not much time left...

I noticed two times recruitment for beta testing. But CCP looking for best game rigs available. My was not enough ;)
