Hello everybody. I hope the body count is high and your lag time is low. I thought I would tempt the sniper's taste buds with a sniper rifle that is designed with urban warfare in mind. The weapon has a lower damage, but higher rate of fire and mag size (normal for assault variants). This weapon also has little to no rifle sway while crouching and has a cross hair when you're not looking down the scope. I would recommend keeping the relative dps the same, but the higher rate of fire would offset the damage per shot. It's still gunna hurt, but it won't be op and therefore good for giving support fire in those tight spaces.Perhaps it would be pointless, given the bolt pistol, but I believe it would make for a nice addition to the variety of sniper rifles.

Basically something with an operating range in-between the Sniper rifle and the Laser rifle? I could get behind this. I would even argue that the Tactical SR could be re-purposed for this role. |

I would ask why we would want snipers getting into the action in the first place. What you describe would be better as a tactical rail rifle.

Okay, so I like the idea. Lower dps, higher rate of fire(I'm assuming not by a lot) and the ability to have a little more leeway with shooting unscoped. It's not a bad idea. But the point by Alena stands as well. Infantry wouldn't particularly like being nailed by something that sits just at the edge of their range. I think the tactical rail rifle is neat as well. So good discussion here.

What you're describing is a DMR (designated marksman rifle), not a sniper rifle.

Pretty much you want a light weapon to operate as a bolt pistol 
I'm already a demon, heaven isn't my kind of place anyway

Either or. My original suggestion was intended to get snipers a place in urban assault missions, by being able to give supporting fire on the streets or long corridors. But all the same, It would be nice to have a counter to the laser rifle and a tactical rail rifle isn't a bad way to go.
