So i'm sorta liking the Gal assault.
I heard there are people like Pancake or Lightning who are loyalists of a certain race...
I've also heard of Elitist like Daaaa Beast and how some of them gave up on it...
So I was wondering why is being a Elitist so much harder than a Loyalist?
What items are restricted from the elitist of that race?
I also wanna know what kind of Gal assault fittings are viable...?!?!
I can rekt in the starter fit but... after seeing a pre-fitted apex suit which a corpmate gave me I really don't know how to fit suits correctly by myself just yet...
Any help would be greatly admired!

Being a "Loyalist" or an "Elitist" are just terms that are thrown around, not actually a true ranking or a certain level of equipment.
A loyalist is a term used to describe someone who fights only for that race and not the opposing race. For example, if you were a "Gallente loyalist" that would mean you fight for Gallente and not the Caldari. You could remain indifferent toward the other two factions and might fight for those without any preference, since those battles don't affect your Gallente standings. Some, however, go as far as to say they fight ONLY for the Gallente and no other faction.
As of right now, items are only restricted based on your skills, not on which faction you fight for. So you could still use a Caldari Faction Rail Rifle on your suit, even though you fight for Gallente (and of course, be prepared to be called a heathen and such  ).
If you are looking for viable Gallente fittings, you may want to check out my friend, Arkena Wyrnspire's guide: A GallenteanGÇÖs Guide To Dust - From Zero to Hero. Some of the guide is a bit out of date, but should get you going in the right direction. Some other Gallente enthusiasts may also give you more pointers as well (I'm more Minmatar focused).

I am a Gallente loyalist and yes I mean loyalist, I only use Gallente suits and I fight for the Gallente in FW 24/7.
My Gal Assault gk.0 fit is a little unorthodox, but still awesome none the less. Here it is:
High slots: 1 Enhanced Shield Extender, 2 Krin's LEX-71 Damage Modifier
Low slots: 1 Complex Armor Repairer, 1 Complex Armor Plate, 2 Complex Reactive Plates, 1 Complex Profile Dampener
Light Weapon: Duvolle Assault Rifle
Sidearm: Creodron Ion Pistol
Grenade: Allotek Flux Grenade
Equipment: Allotek Nanohive (R)
You have pretty good Armor repair, and if you ever get to critical condition you can always put down a repair hive that repairs your armor and also replenishes your ammo.
Note: If you replace the Duvolle Assault Rifle with a Federation Duvolle Specialist Assault Rifle, you will be able to fit a Complex Shield Extender.

Oh gallente, always think they're plasma weapons are the best. The minmatar are the true pure race. I love my duct tape and rust covered suit with our anorexic lifestyles. No but I'm like Soto, I only use min suits and rarely would I use another one. I like to logi though so I'm never to far from my mk0

Bk42 Assault Combat Rifle
Core locus Grenade
Now every time I dream about that suit I have some uh.......accidents.
Been logi'ing since release. Need to give those needles and self proclaimed king of logi hugs ^-^
