I got my second triple kill with a Thukker grenade today and it was against some foolish Proto Stompers.
Anyone else having awesome experiences with the Thukker? I don't think I have seen anyone else use the Thukker in any of the matches I play. |

I have been using them a lot recently, got a triple kill on a bunch of scouts going for the same hack just the other day. Had a nice 60 meter toss and snagged a weakened heavy and logi combo that made me laugh pretty hard. Lots of quick, underhanded tosses dispatching plenty other unsuspecting victims as well.
I attempted to get a gunner out of dropship but it went right through the center :[.
From using them I realized a basic Nanohive is all you need. You get 2 nades from each. Any other tier hive only give you 2 nades too, so stick with the basic Nanohive.

I don't use Thukkers very often because of how much fitting room it takes. For me it is literally a grenade version of a flaylock.

They are expensive too. 28k for each? Hellz. I can't afford to run them anymore. I can't even run pro.
Isk shouldn't be an issue for you though.

Can you smell what the Thukker's cooking?
The answer is no, you can't.
Because the Thukker has no need for cooking~

And I'm the type that runs all suits with one tier. So, all basic, adv, or proto, no mixing and fiddling.

Hello, Summa!
No, the Thukker has never appealed to me. When I first got into the game, I used to spend a couple of hours each week studying the marketplace----and I got the impression SOME of the items and weapons were "expensively-priced gadgets deliberately made by those JP-Morgan arms manufacturers, to rip us off and milk us of our ISK/SP" What? Proto-Air Freshener for my Merc Quarters? Works better than my Standard KL-6 Breach Air Freshener? Ohh, no--I'm not falling for that! LOL, the NPCs just want my ISK.
I think the blast-range adjustment they made on all grenades recently, is the best thing that ever happened to grenade use. I've been able to make triple-kills regularly (even a 4-way kill now and then)---which is WAY more than I could ever do in the 2 years I played before. I finally have grenade-confidence (....except, yes I still bounce grenades off doorframes or ceiling beams and accidentally blow myself up as a result---but I AM trying to stop doing that.)
For me, cooking a regular M1 Locus gets me the same result as the Thukker, for less ISK per throw. Now THAT'S a good deal for coupon-cutter gals like me. Makes me smile when I push the cart in the supermarket. Those other women just have NO idea, how much money I'm saving on my grenades.
But now that I know you carry Thukkers, if I spot you in a match Summa, I'll keep far away from you.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

'APEX' Suits are modifiable. I have all the Gallente 'APEX' Suits but I only have one fitting of the 'Centurion' Commando that isn't modified with two other 'Centurion' Commando fits that are modified.
'APEX' Suits allow for a much cheaper version of an awesomely fitted dropsuit. My modified 'APEX' Suits run as low as 20K ISK and go as high as 70K ISK (the equipment set up for my 'Chiron' Logistics is what raises the price on that dropsuit). |
