Having taken more time away from the battlefields of Devoid and The Bleak Lands for the first shore leave I've taken in the better part of three years I often found myself exposed to more of New Eden than I'd ever suspected existed. With Satja's help this led to a certain.... discovery that I find both flattering, awkward, and quite disturbing on a personal level.
I'm famous..... and not in the local legend sense.
Cluster wide fame or infamy depending on whom you ask with dozens of grass roots fanclubs spanning entire regions of space from Upper Domain to Essence. I'm not even quite sure how but people...... actually spend time tracking my movements across the stars between conflicts and generating enormous amounts of self produced content from art work, stories, holovids, to music videos.
I'm not sure clones are as aware of this so much as our capsuleer counterparts are but we are celebrities in our own way... and apparently very popular ones. Merely out of curiosity I'd be interested to discover what other communities are like and perhaps if you have ever interacted with them directly.
Makes me feel more human than I've ever actually been in some twisted sense. According to my largest fan site.....
" True Adamance, or Kador Ouryon when his name was disclosed to non-military personnel, first entered the public eye in YC 114 after Ex-SCOPE CEWMPA correspondents Adrienne Sauveterre and Carber Eklund began a small scale GalNet newsletter whose subscribers quickly fragmented into thousands and smaller fangroups following individual mercenaries.
While initial coverage of the Amarr-Minmatar warzone was at a low due to the priority of media coverage give to former Executor Tibus Heth's failed invasion of Caldari Prime Ouryon initially garnered a fanbase primarily centred in the Gallente Federation and too a lesser extent the Amarr Empire, an imbalanced that righted itself in YC 116 when the greater part of his registered fan base was placed within the Amarr Empire and Ammatar Mandate."

Oh. Uhm. Oh-- Oh my. Searching the term 'True Adamance' (which, oddly enough was a part of the auto completed text despite the fact that your full name raises no such flags) reveals some very interesting results on Gallente image boards. I've already found quite a bit of fan art that I rather enjoy and simply can't wait to show you and Satj-- Wait. Gods and spirits what am I looking at? Is that suppose to be me? What am I doing under y-- OH. OH.
Eh, yes well I suppose I'm not surprised that the more vocal and decorated members of our profession are famous across the stars. These days there are so few of us left in active circulation as most have retired or just outright disappeared from the battlefield that tales of individuals probably carries far more weight than it ever did in the past. After the Uprising anti-clone sentiment was pretty high within the empires but perhaps that is slowly changing. Admittedly, our exploits must seem pretty amazing to an average mortal but holovids? Brand merchandising? When did any of us give consent for our likeness to be used for any of this? It's bad enough that the first several chapters to the first draft of my personal memoirs were somehow leaked but I never expected this level of rampant commercialism!
Evidently when you search Galm Fae you get the following results:
"Galm Eskola-Fae (pronounced G/+ö/m Es-ko-la Fey), operational codename Pixy (pronounced as 'pixie'), is a Kaalakiota allied private military intelligence analyst associated with Eskola SVK. A former child soldier of Mordu's Legion, triple-agent for the Templis Dragonaurs, veteran of the Caldari clone uprising, and distinguished Guristas bloodsport gladiator he has been celebrated and feared on the battlefield by his reputation for violence alone. Though brutal, Galm has proven himself deeply reverent towards his state and Eskola SVK at large, going so far as to provide critical mission support from within the Eskola corporation."
From there the GalNet article gets a bit apocryphal, I'd say only about a third of what is said about me online is true at this point. Supposedly as I never completed my autobiography several different parties have attempted to 'fill in the gaps' with each presenting a very different take on my life up to this point. That can't seem to decide if I'm an arms dealer, Guristas agent, or an assassin for Kaalakiota. Usually it's a combination of a few. Regardless, it seems to have spawned a steady flow of animated content and media based on these rumors. As far as anime is concerned I've defended a planet from a drone hive falling from orbit, was one of the first to set foot on a Drifter craft, and boxed The Rabbit himself at the afterparty of the YC115 championships. Which reminds me, evidently I still have a bloodsport following even after that tragic explosion that happened last time I was at Snowfall Station.
Real shame about that by the way. The fans I mean. They honestly deserve a better idol than me and I was somewhat hoping they'd leave me be once it became apparent that my comeback careers wasn't going to work out.
Now, I wonder what would happen if I searched for someone slightly more interesting like that 'Cat Merc' fellow... Actually, nevermind. I'd rather not subject myself to that.

Kador, you do realize this is not a rare thing?
I have found my own little follow groups and have been keeping an eye upon them.
They seem to range from casually fascinated with my tales, or supposed tales, to some sort of cult worshipping me as 'Bird Incarnate.' Creeps me out really.
Several books have been written about some of us, including at least two of me, three of Junko, seven of Galm, and eleven of you, Kador.
I've personally purchased copies of both The Raven: Tale of a Mercenary, and Damaged Wings: A look into the life of Viktor Revon. I highly recommend both as they both have very interesting things to say and have references to both of you.
Damaged Wings contains a chapter on how Galm seemingly played a large role in my history, and The Raven mentions you Kador, quite a few times noting you to be a inspiration for me.
Great books really.
"Viktor Revon, often called by the moniker 'Raven', has been seen often defending the State, both physically on the battlefield, and verbally when accused of an less-than-desirable action. He has also been known to traverse the bleak spaces of New Eden. He is seen by many as a hero, by more as a traitor, and even as a demigod to some. Here I will go over his history and give my own critique." - Book cover of Damaged Wings.

I'm not really surprised by much any more. Fandom is weird....flattering sure, but very weird.
Most of the stuff people write about me it filled with misconceptions too. I saw a short promotional video for a GalNet series called Adamant. According to producers it's only 'loosely' based on my career.
It's pilot airs in a week so I've set aside time to watch it and releases monthly due to lack of funding. Looks really well made too for having almost no budget.

If you have a rough idea of where you would be popular in the cluster you'll inevitably find some kind of fanbase.... which will likely expose you to the broad spectrum of your entire fanbase. Once you do that the onus is on you to decide how deep down that rabbit hole you want to go... frankly it goes to places you didn't even think would exist for reasons you really don't want to know about.
On a side note Adamant just previewed it's third episode and is slowly gaining momentum with donations being offered to fast track the monthly production cycle.
Despite the melodrama to drum up ratings and the overly liberal social commentary it's shaping up to be a decent show I'd consider backing myself.

....How 'liberal' was it?
As 'liberal' as that GalNet group "Jin-Mei Adamantettes".... entirely comprised of female Jin-Mei fans who found out I have a thing for Jin-Mei.
I'm not even joking, that's what they call themselves, and they're probably screaming at their monitors right now being mentioned on the IGS. Unsurprisingly Satja officially banned me from checking out their GalNet site.

It was stuff that would make a preacher blush :p tbh I would not look for it I don't think aero would take it well haha
Apprently my origin story has been made a few times. Luckly noware near the truth but the film "battle at pikes point" was very good, very good effect s and I do enjoy being shown as a badass heh.
Also found out one of my slaves ending up making a killing doing interview s about what I was like. Which explains why a number of holders starting giving me agro over being to "nice" to my property. (You know who you are)
Also no cults which is good but I was displeased with a small mining station using my image to recruit into security ranks only the amarr army and navy get that right

949 Counts, Murder 13 Counts, Terrorism 404 Counts, Theft 1,031 Counts, Assault with Deadly Weapon 205 Counts, Arms Smuggling
Rather short, but the numbers are rather high.
I'd say that's impressive consider half of these were not there before he went into hiding.

Yes... people just love the idea of a 'defiled Templar'... it's kind of creepy really.
Any who that GalNet show 'Adamant' I was talking about really did take off and despite branching off into filler series it's doing a good job of both holding ratings and telling an Amarrian-centric story to a Gallentean audience.
Oh and I almost pissed myself when I saw the actress they cast as Satja...

Hiya Junko. Long time no see... big things have been happening while you've been off on more of your adventures (which I must hear about some time) both in the Empire, outside of it, and for me.
I wanted to catch up with your proper like but I couldn't wait to spill the beans so.... I'm no longer as slave! My status as a free woman in the Amarr Empire has been recognized after a lengthy trial held by the Ministry of Internal Order.
Also.... fan art of me and and a proffessional actor in a GalNet holovid? Wow.... that's so cool! |

Heeey Satja, your finally free?? congratulations :D
well, actually i've been elected as a Thukker Elder in my home system, so things have been getting pretty hectic on my end, i've been working non-stop in setting up more secure supply routes, and negotiating with the council to recieve the funding nessecary to create another ship like the Se'terra.
Again, congratulations are in order though, we need to get together and arrange a party of some sort :D |
