Nothing about the PS4 really slows down updates. In fact it may even speed them up thanks to being a uniform system across the board meaning much less testing required. The two week QA process from Sony is nothing really in the grand scheme of things. The PS4 was built specifically to have a structure like the PC because Sony learned a valuable lesson from all the complaints about the structure on the PS3.
Could you people that know nothing about PC stop yelling about hackers and modders? You are obviously basing your opinions on days far past and kiddies that just want to whine about getting beat. Any company worth half a **** is able to easily keep modders shut down. Yes security is better on console thanks to it being a closed source OS but the effort required to keep a PC game secure is not what it use to be.
We are not going to both platforms. CCP has shown upper level managements inability to structure things so the idea of having two games that have to both work together and in parallel is a logistics nightmare.
CCP is not talking until fanfest at the earliest. They are stuck in the old days from before information flooded across the internet at the speed of light and they still think they are cool getting to stand on a stage. If they have not spoken by the time fanfest passes only the most foolish of fools will still be around here.
If you want to see a port stop yelling port and start yelling stop spending. Until CCP is not making money sitting here laughing at us in silence while raking in cash they are not going to say a single thing more than dropping hints to string along those who are willing to stick around.

TRY WORLD OF TANKS AS AN EXAMPLE - NO BUGS AT ALL FREQUENT UPDATES EVERY OTHER MONTH WITH TONS OF NEW CONTENT (Chechoslovakian tanks incoming  ) TRY SPACE ENGINEERS FOR EXAMPLE - WEEKLY UPDATES EACH THURSDAY, BRINGING FIXES AND ADDING NEW STUFF ALL THE TIME (They have entire planets)
