Wondering if the people teleporting across the map is the server being overwhelmed, or a bug where Dust is overwhelming my ps3's capabilities.
Had 2 normal runs on the US2 test site server, and after that people started teleporting all over the map. When a slow moving heavy armor suit instantly teleports from the south west spawn point half way to the city gate on that side, it becomes more than just a little difficult to blame my skills (or admitted lack thereof) for the fact that I can't hit anything.
Trying other servers now, will edit post with findings.
US ambush server, was able to aim, no teleporting foes, but on 1st death armor and sheilds regened back to full after I died, leaving me stuck and unable to respawn, quitting battle and trying again. Ok, this server seems to be working, lack of aim here was due to lack of skill.
Yup, everything ran normal on the other servers, bugs and all ;-P
CCP, you might need to beef up the server, or if you are using one of the Eve test servers to host the Dust matches, you might want to put the node into "super re-inforced mode" like you have to in Eve for the big fleet fights, and for Jita. |

I didn't come across that problem, but there was a round where someone ordered an LAV and they just kept getting dropped off one after another until the round ended. |

Yeah, I've seen that too, but with the Sagaris Tank, just being dropped off constantly in the starting spawn area for the attacker. Everyone pretty much had a free tanks to roll round with.

I had somewhat the same issue as the OP on the US2 Test Server today with someone just disappearing in front of me and reappearing randomly. He was shooting back when visible, but nothing seemed to be hitting on his end. I was able to kill him when he would show up for a few second. I blamed it on lag but dunno if this is the same bug. It happened at XLarge missile station B in the room to the right. (I think it would have been the west room) on the newer map.
I also had the bug where I died and regained all my health after dying, but couldn't be killed, and couldn't kill myself by suicide on the neocom or by hitting circle. I either had to leave the battle, or wait till the game was over.
I tend to crash about on average every 4th game on the Euro Test Server, and every 5/6 on the US Test Server.

Yup I get the perma freeze problems on the EU2 and US2 test servers as well. So far doing well on the other servers but have been playing the new test ones and well I can play on average about 4 to 5 missions on both and then get a freeze.
I beleive the perma freeze issue is accross the board though depending on the length you are on the game. I am wondering if that is a CCP thing to make room in the server, sort of "ok you have been playing to long racking up SP and ISK" so its time for you to go type of thing. I don't know it just seems when I am doing real good in the Beta I get perma freeze, when I am doing horrible I can play for hours.
Also the repeated spawning of vehicles is a noted issue........it happens across the servers as well. Just use it as an advantage....when you see that get close enough to hop into a vehicle and take off rather fast. You get the vehicle without having to use your own. Is it cheating......don't know, a DEV will have to answer that question. I beleive its by any means neccessary in Combat. |
