I have read several posts and heard several pod costs how people have tried to get a shield rep tool but run into issues. I would imagine one of these issues is how you would deal with dual logy trains and having truly unstoppable heavies down to heaving all their stats constantly repped.
Do you guys think a type of deployable rather than a rep tool might be a way to go?
maybe while within a certain distance your shields are granted extra recharge or a resistance to the incoming damage?
This should be a temporary effect, perhaps the device has a time limit before it implodes, this also need quite aggressive stacking penalties to prevent spamming or maybe you can only be affected by one unit of a time.
Could like like a nano hive with a glow around it to indicate the area of effect.....
Flame on....
Anyone getting annoyed by reading of the above post should consider the following.

If shield rep tools existed and worked like armor rep tools but repped shields I think they would actually **** over Caldari suits.
Why?
Stack shield extenders and have at least 2 armor rep mods on any non-caldari heavy or assault. Use the shield reptool on the non-cal suit. Now you have shields repping constantly infront of your main tank.
"Why is that important?"
Weapon damage profile.
Ever try to fight a Calass with a CR? It sucks ballz. Now imagine fighting a Galass/Amass with shields repping constantly AND if you do get through that you gotta get through that armor with shields still repping. Remember those 2 armor reps? Yeah thats repping while the shield reptool is going.
"But Cals have higher shields so its better on them"
ARs and ScR dont give no fucks about your shields and Cals dont have the lows to get good armor total and rep.
Gal/Am Assaults/Sents will be able to rep hard as **** with a high armor total/rep module setup with shields buffering that.
Totally didn't read any of the previous post because im kinda drunk and need to put my thoughts down.

I don't like it, because while rel tools can theoretically provide infinite reps as long as the logo survives, a deployable rep can easily get destroyed. I'd like to see something like an inverse flux grenade, or at least something that doesn't run out.
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.

Deployable equipment has already proven to be a big problem and shows no signs of getting better. Personally I think staying away from deployable equipment is the best way to go.
People yelling about spam. Inability to balance WP gain from said equipment. More models and effects gumming up memory. Mechanics to prevent broken drops of equipment such as in null cannons and walls.
Basically once you add it all up deployable equipment is simply not worth it unless it is a major game changer such as ammo or spawns. I was previously even in favor of deployable scanners but after considering it all can not even say that I think those are a good idea.
Besides, logistics should be a dedicated role anyway not something that scouts can do better than logis and that everyone else can do passively.
