Note, these are not my words, but the words of XxBlazikenxX in a long text he sent to me.

So, I'm getting a respec and I am conflicted on what to get, I have 30 million SP so I'll be able to max out a role. Please post what you think I should respec into.
Secondly, I have been trying to recruit people for one entire week and I have gotten no players, it doesn't matter what I do but it seems people just don't want to join corporations. What should I do? Should I keep recruiting and potentially stay in a one man corp forever, or should I just join another corporation?

And I would probably join if I asked, I just tend to be...anti social. Biggest weakness in this game...

When I made Abstract Requiem, I didn't start getting members for about a month.
Take it from me, you can have all the dedication in the world, but corps will simply not grow because people are already content where they are. At its peak, Abstract Requiem had 11 members. I believe it's now down to 6. I would simply join an already-established corp if your intention is to play PC, because realistically your corp will never grow large enough to do PC itself.

I don't think it's that people are content where they are, it's more that the bulk of the 'old' playerbase has stopped playing this game. I see a lot of new nonsensical player names in NPC corps in the few matches I do play, and that's across 3 toons with varied levels of SP.
Most of the corps I see in game nowadays are the Spanish speaking ones. I doubt many players from this demographic will join anglo corps.
Attempting to grow a corp from scratch nowadays is probably going to be nothing more than a frustrating exercise in futility.
As far as a respec goes, I don't get why you poll the audience on how you should play the game. If you don't know then perhaps you should try something else. |

Not exactly true.. for one example DMG has kept going for over a year now in PC With a chunk of the members who were here before that, we grew into a PC Corp from -10 core mercs
Then Standby Retaliation (o7) JAKE, maxmar, Huey, Rob started that, blessed by Hau TK A core of 4 mercs and with JAKES slag prof.5 they grew into a PC corp in less than a month
When trying to drag more Corps souls into the meatgrinder, I always remind them that fights generate activity, not Alliances or chatting about it on the forums but gearing up and fighting battles aiming to kill and improve. All it takes is 5-10 players ready to commit to the PC's + a herd of CP slaves in today's PC, and you will generate activity and recruitment...
Chatting on the forums about how you are going to do all this stuff, when you get this stuff you need... Isn't really going to improve your recruitment chances, you must give mercs what they truly crave, blood.

@Blkaze, I played with you on an alt yesterday, in a dom match, where we won and played well. After matches like that, you should send messages to players, not in corps, that did well with you in the match and invite them to join your corp. It might help, either way, good luck.
