We can assume that Sony will stop supporting the PS3 eventually but the only statements you can find are "we are going to support it for many years after the PS3 launch." Also, I do believe that DUST is on CCP's servers. Yes, we do use PSN but DUST is on Tranquility.

But, yes, DUST's lifespan is very limited if it remains on the PS3 but "a few months" isn't what is going to kill DUST unless they actually release something saying "First Quarter of 2016 is the last for PS3."

Not even close. CCP should be beholden to their players/customers because we continue to play/pay the game. But if DUST were still hemorrhaging money, it would probably be gone for have even less development than it currently does. There is no fear here with CCP. It is merely a business decision.

Rattati and probably still Rouge run the show. Or, higher than that, Hilmar. Archduke is a community manager; he looks over the forums and answers players questions but he doesn't get to create the answers. Would be like asking Josh Earnest about taking current tax revenue into consideration.

This all lookst very dimm, and a mediocre 1.3 hotfix without a soonish port won't save the day. They're gearing up for Ps4 so that they have more to do in-game besides just deploy+shoot stuff. I'd say they're probably putting loads of effort into NPE particularly PvE.
