I know, I was laughing at the "op" reference, I'm a proto Amarr Assault myself, seems I do better in standard gear for some reason though...

You're not the only one, same happens to me... I think it's because we are more aware of our limits and pick our fights better. When I ran Proto, I would get good games but I would die in stupid ways.

its mostly a case of preheating and counting down to just the right second to swipe at the precise spot the kill
Sadly I never had that level of concentration with the laser rifle.
Anywho how did you do when meeting an assaultron?
my first meeting with one of these was the same as my first meeting a giant in skyrim that is to say I was dead a few seconds later.
Haveing a blast with Fallout 4 and sadly no time for blops 3 or Star Wars then in December theres Just Cause 3? to add to the PS4 backlog along with hardly haveing time for Planetside 2 and Warframe
Just got a Legendary Laser with wounding bleed effects and OMG! its like the Viziam laser from Tapei Show back in 2014? or 2013? when the laser was kill 8 enemies with one swipe and everyone feared the bzzzzzzzz like a mouse fears a cat.
Back to modding my laser in Fallout 4

the thought that death touch is the only way to kill witha lr is what makes everyone bad with it

Idk.. Laser is op because it trains the user to have OP choices. At first you just pew pew but realize it doesn't work out like that..
You'll leave it or...
You begin to respect the laser. You realize how powerful it is in the right circumstances.
Once you've recognized that... You're constantly trying to get encounters that make the laser effective.
Now, most people who use the laser know how to keep distance, how to pick targets, and how to be patient.
That's why people with a militia LR can slay like it's proto. Heck I use a militia LR on a basic calAss as my go to fit.

Fallout Laser Weapons are garbage. Give me my Shishkebab or Super Sledge. With the right combination of perks nothing can stop you reaching it and hacking it to pieces.

It doesn;t. By the time it hits armour after going through shields it just seems to. It's still taking the 20% penalty but its damage has just built up to such a degree.

They never nerf anything they like.
That's why the SCR got nerfed. There certainly isn't anyone on the CPM who, say, has an officer SCR they named.
