Drr...bee gold...up n...dem...thaar...hills!!!!! Right now I'm having way too much fun with the E-11 and DL-44. And when I play as Darth Vader I am overlord. It doesn't matter if Leia, Luke or Han are there. They are useless against the Vader.
That game is amphetamine. I need it. WHERE THE JOYSTICKS AT!!!

The game maybe fantastic at first, but it gets stale after a while (After Rank 32, all that's left to unlock is just visual customization, and most of the time Rebels win Walker Assault due to Speeders or spawning right by the Uplinks or being on Endor). There is so much stuff they haven't put in (There are more than just X-Wings, A-Wings, Interceptors, Tie Fighters, Speeders) which I suspect EA will release in DLCs for a good $20+ as to me it feels like a cash grab targeted towards us Star Wars fanboys.
Not to mention some things are very unbalanced (Melenium Falcon is tanker and more powerful than Slave-1, Bobba Fett can over power Han Solo and most other heros easily etc, Scan Pulse Card aka see through wall).
There are a lot of things wrong with the game, but there are a lot of things they have done right, such as snipers, squad shields, Fighter Squadron (though the lack of star fighters to choose from pisses me off, I want to pilot a B-Wing damnit!), the Trait Cards and a few other things.
Edit: That all being said, I love putting Rebel scum in their place! For the Empire!

Edit: That all being said, I love putting Rebel scum in their place! For the Empire! There's not a lot of content, and it certainly ruffles me as well. Though, the content that is there is solid. The net code is predictable. The mechanics are overall well rounded. These are key components and Dice absolutely struck the right cord in their implementation.
Capitalism, what would we do without you? Paying for content that should have been there may seem troublesome, but for all we actually know this has allowed Dice to safely invest more into the game then they otherwise would have been able to.
Also, the small amount of content harkens back to the faithful, illustrious and rose tinted days that the great FPS games came to being.

You do make good points, but from my perspective, I felt like I wasted $100 on an unfinished game (inb4 Dust). And seeing as games are really expensive where I live, I feel as if EA has just robbed me.
Reason why I am putting this on EA and not Dice is because EA has been notorious for their cash grabs and over priced DLC.

PS2 sniping is superior IMO. Though that game is boring as well.

I can't hate so far. The pure combat mechanics are streamlined through simplification which makes skill just as important as luck. The result is a game where even losses are as fun as wins. As well as a game where there aren't useless or superflous weapons or abilities. My only regret is that there aren't more aesthetic options.
Also, despite how many people there are on the maps anyone has the ability at any time to single handedly turn the tides. I wouldn't have thought that would be possible outside of a low player count game like Call of Duty.
I'm having a blast.

Didn't the old battlefront have not just ground combat but also vehicle and space combat? At least battlefront 2 on the pc did from what I remember and it all ran pretty smoothly. |

Also, vehicles are either found (Speeders) or someone has to pick up an icon to get them. Though, on Walker Assault you will constantly be getting strafed by TIE Fighters and X-Wings while on the ground.
