Today was my first time as a squad leader. I tried using the commands as I really wanted to get into the structured, organized combat that makes me excited about this game. My plan was to get them all to work together to take out important targets etc, and meet up in an area where I could call in a drop ship which we could then fly to the outpost and use for air support. Sadly, all my orders went unheeded and I was essentially ignored. As none of my squad aside from me had voice chat, I tried to enter in the text system to get them to watch out for the orders I was giving. Not a single person replied to this text message, and I kept checking back on it to see as no notifications pop up, dying the process of trying to communicate.
Communication is annoying me more and more as time goes by, so my suggestions are this: Voice chat should be on by default, so everyone can hear their team mates even if they lack a headset/microphone. Any text messages sent from a team member or squad member should appear on screen much like the squad leader orders do, i.e with a little box popping up displaying the message for a few moments, or as much of it fits in the box. I also think dropships should have some form of pilot operated weapon/automated weapon, as I had to fly that thing alone and was basically acting more like an observer who gets shot at as I couldn't actually shoot anyone.
I shall end with a question. Will clones cost us isk on the games release/before then? By which I mean when we die and have to respawn, will we lose some isk for the clone we are now using? |

The problem isnt that the game doesnt have the things you say even if the game had the things you suggest most players still wouldnt listen thats why you play with a corp, clan, or friends. The real problem is that there is know way to group up with friend, or clan or corp mates.

Greetings,
MARVIN JORDAN wrote:The real problem is that there is know way to group up with friend, or clan or corp mates. No... While I understand what you are trying to say, you are wrong. Many times I have been in pickup groups where things just clicked. Additionally, I have been in many picked groups that failed to click.
It has absolutely nothing to do with these being random groupings and everything to do with the current stage of the game. Many people are still testing and trying out their own private tactics and the fact that the current comms systems have a few issues that still need to be worked out.

Oh, so you think that if the comms issues are sorted out, then all of the random players will magically start following orders? Players will do what they want to do. If people want to focus strictly on getting kills, then they will. If people want to follow orders to achieve victory, then they will. These people are the ones who are more likely to play in groups with other people who are using teamwork, so the faster a party system is implemented the better. |

You will also note that I addressed this in my reply as well when I said that many people are still testing and trying out tactics.
EDIT: Fixed the second quote. |

I rather have it like you can only hear some folks.. not a wholeeeee team because that makes things even more dis organized and you would just hear people talk crap all day. Like only squad or friends etc |

Yeah saying the whole team was a little stupid. Probably just the squad. |

we all know this is true but it doesnt mean that everyone wants to go by them selves and try for kills, MAG had nearly everyone following their leaders orders as long as they werent something rediculos or un necisary, i think they should add a bonus for completing objectives marked by the leader, pretty much every other game that lets u mark objectives gives a reward for it |
