i've come across a few players that are at times "unhittable", yet land hits with almost perfect accuracy.
not going to name names, but there's a certain scout who uses a militia scout dropsuit and a breach SMG. when strafing, he is basically impossible to hit under any circumstances...but not always.
in one instance, two players, including myself, were firing at him at medium (20 feet) range as he went back and forth. neither landed a solid hit (no shield damage to him). the weird thing was that the hit detected marker, the little red X, went off quite frequently. in EVERY OTHER CASE, the red X means a hit has successfully landed and will do damage, but not here, strange eh? usually when i see that red x three or four times in a row, a decent assault suit goes splat, but not this guy.
later in the match, he seemed to take damage fine even when he was strafing a great deal. however this was after he already had 18 kills so i guess he wasn't too concerned about getting points anymore.
him simply having more health is not the case, he had a militia scout dropsuit, those things are paper. him landing most hits makes some sense, he could simply be very good, and he had a high level breach SMG, but it was still suspect given how incredibly erratic his movements were.
the real puzzling big is how he is the only, only exception to the X marks the hit rule. sure the reticle will turn a little red and shields will flash like getting hit, but you wont do damage, that's just bad hit detection. but the red X always means a hit, except for on this guy.
no idea what he's doing, but i'd bet money it's illicit, and the only way he gets away with it is because people just assume bad hit detection. |

Dude I get this all the time , little red hit markers, there shield too I know I'm hitting them, it's so bad I lose even if I creep up behind someone.... Let's hope the new build fixes our big problem |

their solution to the hit detection is fixing an "animation error", which makes sense but again, a gauge hits by the little red X, its never failed until this scout showed up. Questionable, no?

Not sure if anyone else gets this but I get a red X even when I'm shooting a wall. Especially when using a turret, I get the red X no matter what I'm shooting at, the ground, rock wall, etc.. |
