Hi, Union118!
You must chalk it up to "experience". Never mind the glitch that might throw Lag into a match. Never mind the excuse of "having Noobs in this match" that's become a sad prejudice in our fellow players MUCH MORE than being an actual cause of losing the match.
There are a dozen very good, very legitimate ways of botching your match-win in this VERY tactical game:
(GǪbotching means, we were way ahead on the important controls, and had conquered the objectives right away, but let the seriously beaten team take everything away from us..)
I've seen my teams botch the match-win by capturing the Domination Objective right away, but then abandon the Panel completely and go off like Elmer Fudd "huntin wabbits". Usually the correct attitude to have is "Who cares about going after THEM---let Bugs Bunny come to US and get mowed if he wants to attack our Panel".
I've seen my teams botch by capturing 4 out of 5 Letters in Skirmish, and abandon them all to converge on the 5th letter to attempt a Redline of the enemy.
I've seen my team get the Panel in Domination, but fail to monitor the overhead map (VERY important), and fail to notice all the CRUs were red by the midpoint of the match, and NO ONE on our team was carrying/deploying uplinks. We got slowly cut off and picked off one by one, until we were respawning together way back under our MCC and way far from our blue Panel. She who owns the map, owns the fight.
---and the enemy permanently delayed us at one side of the map, turned all the supply depots red,GǪ oh and since it was just sitting there for the picking, turned the blue Panel red.
If you've been in this game only about a year, you're still working on perfecting your dropsuit and essential equipment or proficiencies---you won't be able to acquire strategic or tactical know-how yet---its too early for you, believe me.
But if you're advanced into being an 18 month or longer player, it's up to YOU and players like you to act as "Jedi Generals" for the clone troops, and focus on reading/assessing/directing/influencing and tactically controlling each match.
It's up to the advance-players to spot/identify dangers in each match, and protect assets by "steering" blue buddies to certain parts of the map at the right time----they're not going to figure it out on their own.
Well,
not most of them, anyway.
Sorry to hear your team botched it, Union118. Proof that this is Dust: this just doesn't happen in those other "team coop" game titles.
