Given its power and range it would make sense to turn it into a Rail-HMG with charge. Matari's should not have any ranged varients of stuff, they are CQC units

Honestly I like the idea of a fire rate mechanic for the hmgs(except burst). Where when you start firing its fire rate is like 1/4 normal rate, then it creeps up until at about half max heat(before skills) it is firing at full bore. Stopping firing resets the time needed to reach full fire rate...thoughts?
you ever get to that point where you know you should sleep, but ya just...dont? yeah...me too.

Aaah, so it's like, while it's charging, the barrel rotates and increases accuracy before it actually stars firing? That would make it so OP!

It would be innacurate to start like normal but also fire slower, the charge is to avoid insta-kills (1 second pause before slow/innacurate firing before, over time, it gets accurate and fires at OMFG speeds assuming you don't overheat)

Gallente are CQC. Matari are mid-long range

i find this to be stupid.. sure its powerful. i like to think of it as a large blaster turret being put into the hands of my gal heavy dropsuit..
but that weapon really isnt an issue. since a little speedy scout seems to dodge every one of its rounds at close range by doing tiny circles.
the regular hmg seems to work better against them.
great potential is always there..
it just has yet to be realized
