How many of you sentinels would be in favor of changing the sentinel bonus to the following-
Amarr- 3% more armor per level, 1% more stamina per level
Caldari- 3% more shield per level, 1% more stamina per level
Gallente- 3% more armor repair per level, 1% more speed per level
Minmatar- 3% more shield recharge per level, 1% more speed pre level
I'd prefer this over the current resistance bonuses.
GALLENTE would have decent rep now
Minmatar would be perfect for hit and run
Caldari would be hard targets at rage
Amarr would be true monstrous armor tanks.

Sents are suppose to be tanks. What are tanks without resistance? Useless. What if a pistol could damage a military tank? It wouldn't be a tank. It would be useless dead weight.

yeeeeaaah but idk,
the bonuses only apply to certain weapons so it doesnt even matter at the end of the day.
amarr would rather have more armor than reduction of damge of 2 profiles.
and so forth.

Somebody that can math should determine the TTK differences (broken down by the 4 main rifles) between tanked out Sentinels with lvl 5 resistance bonuses, and the same tanked out Sentinels without any bonuses. (Assuming, say, 100 percent weapon accuracy, everything being proto, and being in optimal range)
Because, frankly, I think people severely overestimate the value of the resistance bonuses (the bonus that gives resistance to splash damage or whatever excluded). And it'd be nice to see concrete numbers to look at.
I'd do it myself, but, uhhhh...
Anyway, when it comes to the passive, unfun bonuses that Sentinels have, the community suddenly becomes sexually aroused by the status quo, and clamour to keep it the same.

No. Sentinels are fine , and need to keep their racial resistances. Also , the Gallente sentinel has plenty of reps already , the only one that has a native 5reps/s.

The problem with these percentages is that it favors Prototype heavily.
A level 5 Amarr Sentinel will reduce the Base Damage from a basic HMG from 18.4 damage to 15.64 or from 736 DPS to 625.6. This equal whether you have 900 Armor or 1,200 Armor. +15% Armor means that those have Prototype Skills and Prototype fits earn a far larger advantage. 135 Armor versus 380 Armor. There is no level playing field here; Prototype becomes "the more you have, the more you get."
One of the reasons why the Amarr is the go to heavy is because it can get a larger pool of HP meaning that Logistics is far superior and because it gets a resistance to other Sentinels. Let's assume our Amarr Sentinel has 4 Complex Armor Plates and a Prototype HMG.
1,344 Armor and 23.28 Damage to Armor.
Current Sentinel has 1,344 Armor and takes 19.788 damage per HMG round or 791.384 DPS. They are dead in 1.7 seconds Propose Sentinel has 1,545.6 and takes 23.28 Damage per HMG round or 931.04 DPS. They are dead in 1.66 seconds
So the Amarr Sentinel becomes better because the thing that they are mostly likely to go up against only kills them 4 milliseconds faster but they get a larger HP pool against everything else.
Gallente becomes better at doing the "heals fast" shtick than the Caldari. 2 Complex Repairers and one plate moves from 22.75 HP/s to 26.16 HP/S and 3 Repairers is 32.13 to 36.95 HP/s. They will sit on a roof with a long range weapon. Also has the same problem as the Amarr Sentinel; has almost no benefit without Prototype.
The Caldari is still a terrible Sentinel given Sentinels are designed for point defense and the low EHP of Shields and inability to get Logistics support doesn't work well.

Numbers to put this proposal in perspective: Assuming max skill. Used number from this Dev Blog, so apologies if any have been changed since, but they should still be close.
Amarr (600 / 360) is exchanging: 240 Effective HP vs splash damage 90 Effective HP vs Projectile (15% of 600 armor HP) 36 Effective HP vs Rail (10% of 360 shield HP)
For: 90 HP across the board.
Caldari (390/525) is exchanging: 228.75 Effective HP vs splash damage 78.75 Effective HP vs Blaster (15% of 525 shield HP) 52.5 Effective HP vs Laser (10% of 525 shield HP)
For: 78.75 HP across the board.
Gallente (525/390) is exchanging: 228.75 Effective HP vs splash damage 78.75 Effective HP vs Rail (15% of 525 armor HP) 52.5 Effective HP vs Projectile (10% of 525 armor HP)
For: 0.6 HP / Second Armor repair (Could not find a reference but I think current is 4 HP / Sec)
Minmatar (435/390) is exchanging: 206.25 Effective HP vs splash damage 58.5 Effective HP vs Laser (15% of 390 shield HP) 43.5 Effective HP vs Blaster(10% of 435 armor HP)
For: + 3 HP / Sec Shield recharge
The Gallente proposal in particular looks anemic.

This is... almost exactly what we have now.
You are aware that resistance bonuses will increase effective HP as a function of raw HP, yes? The more raw HP you have, the more EHP you get from the bonus.
