In order to make the swarms less magical, what say we standardize the lock time to three seconds, make it single volley reload and reduce lock range.
Here's what you get for that trade GÇô up front increased damage by way of skills granting the extra missiles plus raw damage as well as reload skill having meaning.
Things that will change are vehicle armor reps going back to active with short reps like shield booster. Also, the repper will rep only 75% of total armor before a big cooldown so you can't stack.
Then add a small built in rep for vehicles like suits. A small rep that is really only god outside of engagements.
Tanks and ADS would rely more on plate/hardener combos.
Balance accordingly from there.
Discuss.

Chrome vehicles w/ today's changes... That is all.
Laser guided free fire be best imho. Cause if 1 volley hits hard... Then... We can't dodge. The first volley always hits... 3 guys you fly over all lock on while you approach? Poor python be stuck in a really ugly place.
... You see what I mean there though?
Once they can be dodged, I'm cool w/ anything swarms. (before speed buff you could out strafe it. Some will hit but it made challenging swarmers a possibility... But then others just ABAway.)
Laser guided = dodge-able. Human error.
Forever ADS. Best role.

If you still having issues with swarms. Fly above 150m and never worry about them again...
Get a friend to fly a dropship and you point a swarm launcher at it. You practically have to smell the pilots arse before you get a lock. Then get him to derp about dropship style and watch as they move out of range for a split second, you'll lose the lock...
( If your transporting squad, tell them to get the f*ck out and just drop down to the intended roof you wish to camp on... )
Single shot!... It's not a cannon aka The Forge Gun and Plasma Cannon. This is futurist warfare remember, how many armies you know of these day's, that don't use some sort of guided missile for air defense purposes?...
Heck just make the swarm launcher cost 200k ISK and we can end this topic once and for all, because it's just the money at the end of the day that you are whining about, "my ships costing X, versus your suit costing Y.... "
Tanks are just fine against swarms, they just reverse wait 10secs and come back fully recharged. I don't see what the issue is with tanks they are everywhere and always out of range. At 150m, the tank driver would do better just get out of the tank kill the guy and get back in. Remember the Swarm guy is just standing there like a lemon and not defending himself in any way, while doing so...
If your not using fully proto tanks and dropships, then just like every other player getting stomped! Tough... If you can't afford it, don't fly it, or drive it and just do what every one else does and break out the vehicles when the match is almost over and your redlining the other team....
Leave the damn Swarm launcher alone and fly a little higher....

And they don't start lock most of the time forcing you to cancel a few locks before you can even get a shot off.

Swarm is now the worst AV in the game. I literally do better with a AMD or AHMG than swarms, and yet people are still crying about them?

LEAVE SWARMS ALONE! All they are is a area of denial weapon! And they do there job.......What we need is nothing to happen any less range and we will have to be on top of them! you have trouble with a drop ship then fly higher! If your in a tank well....you shouldn't be dying... At this point give us are 400m of travel time! back but make it laser guided so players have to guide the missiles then you cant say its a no skill wep as a ******* excuse to Nerf it to the ground!

the swarm never had a lock on range of 400m, it had a follow range of 400m but the fatherest it was able to lock on was 225m
