Jumpy melee has been around for a while, it'd be pretty apparent if it ruined the game by now.

It ruins the game. It magnifies some of dusts most long standing problems in shoddy level design and explosive weapons. Jumpy mass driver guy = jumpy guy using rocket launcher (in older shooters like unreal tournament)
It's functionally the same as unreal tournament but the game isn't designed around it leading to a tiresome, scrubby experience...

Only tf2 and a few other games got "man explosive jumping as a combat method" right. Dust just fail in its implication. On a side note I wish the plasma cannon had 4 shots and could blast you up in the air.....

I am actually bitter they capped them at 3. I liked my 5 stack Caldari Assault. Was the only time that Caldari Assault didn't feel totally useless.

Realistically though I feel a jump height penalty should be implemented that correlates to the amount of Armor you have on. The same way that Armor can slow down your Movement and Sprint Speed I feel your armor should reduce your jump height.
The only jumpy mercs I feel are detrimental to this game due to their jumpy scrubbiness are the ones that armor stack making it impossible for your average Dust514 player to stand a chance against them. |

I always loved jumping into their descent arc and blasting my shotgun in their face.....

The idea of a passive module that allows you to jump that high is lolwut worthy. The jump height on myofibs needs to be slashed between 25 - 50%. Allow it to aid in mobility, not moon jump over buildings.

You can no longer moon jump sense it got nerf.
Now you just go 3m-12m in the air is all the that is possible
I can name quite a couple of video games where you can jump high.
Why is it even a problem

I see no problem other than some players cannot aim.
If the explosives are a problem change into a Myo Hunter Fitting

It's cheap.. and a pretty lame ass tactic for what I had assumed Dust would eventually offer..
One example is getting my usual suits ass kicked in a PC, spawn with Kubo's+Myo's = WIN.. lol
Dust started out as something with potential, ideas like this ruin that.

The amount it currently restricts your jump height is not noticeable in anyway during actual gameplay. |

It is noticeable when you get the cal production facility in Dom use a reactive then jump to the space behind alpha then try it with Ferros when using reactives you wont be able to jump there
