Its not important. I'd rather CCP attract new players or atleast try to retain its current players. So many people have left these past few months the game is really boring |

A large part of the vehicle community would most likely come back with the addition of those vehicles. Also I'd say the vehicle community is far more dead than any other role...

Heavily unlikely. There is either the fatalistic/pessimistic response or the optimistic response:
Pessimism: "Why the hell would CCP make a push for new stuff on a game that is dying? They are better off coasting the car to save gas until it falls over the cliff."
Optimism: "Why the hell would CCP make new stuff for DUST as it exists on the PS3? They are clearly better off spending their time, energy, and money putting the game on the (INSERT SYSTEM HERE)."
If they are ever released, they will just be palate swapped with slightly different stats. But they didn't do that for Dropsuits despite people wanting that and they have made statements along the lines of "palate swap is not real new content" so I truly doubt it will happen.

When Rattati was on the biomass podcast the other week, they talked about new tanks...
Apparently, "no new wire frames can be introduced into the game"... (ps3 memory limit reached)
So, no new tanks... New skins, yes... But new design of tank, no...
However...
The CPM have been putting together ideas to streamline things and free up memory. If the Dev's streamline all the suits down, to a basic suit frame and 3 power cores and also reduce the number of weapons & tools variants, maybe then, they could free up enough memory to include a new tank design and a weapon or two...
(they could hack a huge chunk off the maps, might help free up a bit of memory too!)
Who knows, but they might just be able to work something out.........

no... he'd go further... he would probably die of heart attack... hoping so I don't have to face his tank because I got more important things to do then decide if I wanna blow it up.

Actually, there's a thread somewhere from one of the CPM's from a few weeks back. He was asking for any input, so search forums, but they might be here Soon(TM)'er than we think. |
