1. CCP:s Dust team is already doing their best 2. Loss of keyes and SP 3. Its generally a stupid idea. Its a video game. A free to play video game. Having a strike for something you havent invested anything in is pointless. And dont give me that "Ive bought aurum crap" You did it out of your own free will. You werent asked to pay a singel dollar to play this game. |

You werent asked to pay a singel dollar to play this game. The only valid point is CCP is doing thier best. However, it doesn't change the fact that aside from a confirmation of 1.3 coming out at some point in the future, we have had no updates about what is going to happen to the game later on down the line.

I don't get where the idea "CCP has not ported dust so they must be unaware of what people want so a strike will wake them up" comes from.
I really doubt it is that simple |

I really doubt it is that simple It's got nothing to do with them being unaware, they know what everyone on the forums want. It's the lack of communication about what is going to happen that's the problem.
I get they want to avoid a repeat of the whole fanfest thing but it's making people irritable.

It's based on the assumption that the devs are completely blind and/or stupid.
Most of the posts on the topic seem based on the premise that rouge is oblivious and rattati is an idiot.
The silence is frustrating but all striking will accomplish is saving money on server runtime and bringing in the question as a business of whether or not this game and community is worth investing in further.
WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.

"You know, CCP burned me with this whole 'every applicable will transfer' and then not saying anything. I am not going to buy anything." CCP sees this and comes to the conclusion that DUST is not worth investing so no port.
"Well, I do want a port so have some money CCP!" CCP decides not to invest in the games future and I am an even bigger dumb than I already am.
Ohh, the dilemma!

It's completely pointless and will probably have no effect besides ccp realizing how ungrateful this disgusting player base is.
They're hoping that a bunch of insignificant players of a FREE game will make the devs decide "Hey we're gonna do this thing that we probably have no power /means to do so this group of toddlers- erm... I mean" forum warriors" will stop complaining about everything in existence. " Obviously easier said than done....

Oh, right, tinfoiling the motives and logic of ccp is about as useful as a football bat.
There's no intention of holding updates hostage unless people buy aurum.
The assumptions there are hilariousand hardly based on truth.
It's a simple business function: does the budget based on income support the maintenance/updates/personnel for growth?
If yes, allocate personnel to development and growth.
If no, do not allocate personnel to development and growth.
This is business math, not a f*cking hostage situation. For f*cks sake quit taking your lessons on business ethics from Hollywood action flicks and your average first person shooter.
