You could put your own together for about that much, and get Windows 7 (if you have a friend that knows computers winkwinknudgenudge - not me).

The AMD A8 7600 is available for less than $100, and has Radeon R7 graphics on-board, which are their mid-range graphics. The CPU also supports up to 2133Mhz of DDR3, probably up to 16GB.

For Windoze 10... lol. You actually have to pay $15 to download a program to listen to CDs and/or watch DVDs. I guess the one and only upside to Windoze 10 is that you get DirectX 12, which apparently by itself unlocks all of your CPU's cores. If you're using an FX 8 or 9-series CPU from AMD, that's 8 cores at your disposal.

you can get the amd vishera 6 core 3.5 ghz cpu from newegg this winter on sale for about 100 even

It's going to be buggy as hell probably but it's been a long time coming. It looks great!

Some of the stuff you can do in spengi is pretty amazing. Missile tech has come a long way, lately - people have actually been writing scripts for missile guidance systems. Also an automated gravity cannon that could hit out to 10km (the longest range normal turret has 800m range and barely hits at that distance).

Nothing quite seems to inspire innovation like exploding spaceships.
