I would like to suggest that the hard limit on the number of myofibrils fitted is changed so that instead of having a hard cap on the number fitted, we instead have a hard cap on the actual jump height.

 What does this achieve?

Since the slot tierification of dropsuits, newbies are no longer so slot limited.
Such a change would allow them to fit, say, 5 basic myofibrils to mimic the effects of 3 complex ones (or near enough, at any rate).

This would permit newbies a soft counter to some forms of rooftop camping which are otherwise entirely inaccessible without a dropship or a complex myo fit, and also allows them general access to more tactical options with myofibrils.

It does not improve the combat effectiveness of myofibril fits whatsoever - such a fit would actually be substantially weaker than complex myo fits.

 In summary:
Change the myo number cap to a jump height cap so newbies can jump too if they really want to. It won't cause a jumping combatant epidemic as such fits will be very fragile and would have more tactical applications.

Yes. This could also be looked at as a buff of some sort for high slots/shield suits since they would be the only ones that could utilize 4-5 slots to jumping.

 hmm..

I made small experiment lately. I took Assault Gk.0 and made 2 fittings:

 1. full of green enchance biotics, leaving empty h-slots
 2. full of green enchance biotics, 3x complex myofibril

With fit number 1 I was able to make 4 very high jumps, then I run out of stamina.
With fit number 2 I was able to make 44 very high jumps, then I run out of stamina.

It is bug, or someone forget to mention it in patch notes.

Maybe they figured out the cause, but there are some weird bugs with stacking penalties with 4 and 5 blue bottles.
I'd also imagine you'd put an internal cap on melee power (i.e. capped at the current power of 3 complex myofibiril mods).

I recall 5x complex myo fits were capable of doing absurdly high jumps. Does the multiplicative effect work out in favour of higher jumps despite the stacking penalties with more myos, or is a 5x basic myo fit unlikely to reach the same levels as a 3x complex one?

If it's the former, the cap I propose is a hard one on the jump height, and even if adding a 5th myofibril would normally allow one to enter orbit, it would actually only allow you to reach 3x complex myo jump height.
